Iraq revives Saddam deal with China

Did anyone see this? How do you think it might affect, if at all, the present political/economic clime in Iraq?

Baghdad has revived a contract signed by the Saddam Hussein administration allowing a state-owned Chinese oil company to develop an Iraqi oil field, the Iraqi oil minister told the Financial Times in Beijing on Friday.

Hussein al-Shahristani also said Baghdad welcomed Chinese oil company bids for any other contract in the country through a “fair and transparent bidding process” to be laid out in the new oil law under discussion in Iraq’s parliament.

China National Petroleum Corporation, the country’s largest oil company and the parent of listed group Petrochina, signed a deal with Iraq in 1997 to develop the al-Ahdab oil field. The field is one of the first to be offered to foreign investors since the 2003 US-led invasion.

Iraq has been reluctant to revive Saddam-era contracts, but seems to have turned to China as security problems and uncertainties over Iraqi investment law have deterred other investors.

I cannot see the US Administration controlling the puppet Iraqi Government being very happy about this at all.

1/2 Billion Embassy being built in IRAQ may take the fate of US Embassy in Iran.

To the average sheeple on the street you are absolutely right lorien, but there is no way that the US Administration that controls Iraq will allow this to happen. You will see what I mean if you follow this story for a few months. ;)

Just add this thread to your favourites dude, or put it in notepad in your AGS file :D. I know I'm right.

The US Administration are in Iraq for the Oil and also to establish a huge presence in the Middle East in a very good strategically placed country (along with Israel, which you Americans pay a hell of a lot of money towards ;)) to cause further misery in that region in the near future, as I said before they are going to be mighty pissed off at this and something will be done, you can be guaranteed of that.

The last thing the Illuminati need after the huge false flag on 9/11 coupled with the deaths of thousands upon thousands of innocent people (mainly Iraqi civilians) to get themselves in this very profitable position is for the Chinese to come in and fuck it all up at the 11th hour.

You'd think those dastardly illuminatii would have infiltrated the chinese too, so this is part of their grand scheme right? So either way, they win. Doesn't that make a lot more sense, AGS?

Or are chinese somehow immune to the alien brain control devices of the illuminati?

As long as your malignant narcissism continues unabated. I'm happy for you ;)

    (eats popcorn)

I'm guessing w'll have to wait and see but my guess is the Iraqi's aren't prepared to kiss anyone's butt (for any reason) if they can help it.

Don't forget.. no one called up Bush on the red phone and asked him to come over and save their butt from Saddam.. I think the Iraqi's will do whatever it takes to get back on their feet and past this standing up.

I think in the far future.. ALOT of people EVERYWHERE will be speaking Chinese.. that's my prediction... ;)

It might be the cost of doing business. China is one of the big gun dealers in international market and also has influence over Iran government. It is possible that USA and Iraq government has decided to give them a piece of the pie in order to buy their support and cut the arm supply to the opposition. ;)

Using Occam's Razor, one would conclude that the government is honoring Saddam's old oil contracts. Which, I might add, is consistent with the government's recent history.

Yeah. I normally don't come up with multi tiered conspiracy theories when looking at recent evidence of similar actions from the same body provides a much more common sense solution. I can't help it.
