    I was trying to do it SilkySmooth.
    I had a problem, with no categories appearing.
    All files were uploaded.
    Probably something with my database.
    Will try again later on.
    Thank you.

    No, I have no plans for developing these mods, both of which are available from phpLD_Vault.

    Featured Permanent $
    Featured 12 Months $
    Featured 6 Months $

    Maybe something like that? or maybe already available im not sure.

    I have seen a few directories offer multiple payment levels so I am pretty sure it is available somewhere.

    As I said, I have no plans to make these, primarily because I am too busy with other mods already in progress ;)

    There are several other developers who may wish to take it up though.

    Cool, I just looked at your phpLD mods page. I hadn't seen the Article of the Day before. Maybe I am a little slow. That seems like a cool mod. Is there an example of this one in action somewhere?

    Well, what I would like to do is have the free/recip links be free with a 6 month duration. I would then like regular non-recip links to be 6 month=$x and 12 month= $y. Following that would be an option for a 12 month featured for $xx and a featured forever link for $yy

    Been out for a while now David ;)

    Take a look at the Directory Share homepage where you can see it in action.

    Does it work only on the homepage? Or can it display in other places too? (which places?)

    It is loaded globally, so can be displayed on any page of the site. Just use a smarty if statement to determine where and then edit the template file supplied to change the look and feel.

    For example, Directory Share homepage shows the *Site* of the day on the homepage only in the main column. However if you look at malcolm's SEO Link Directory I have installed it for him in the left column, sitewide, with a different layout.

    The same applies for the *Article* of the day.

    SilkySmooth,

    First and foremost - thank you for all the wonderful mods you have created! You are an incredible asset to the PHPLD community!

    I have a selfish question about your social bookmarking mod? Can additional bookmarking services be added easily? Currently your mod covers 12, I was hoping to get some extra ones in there and not sure how to do it (if it is even possible).

    Thank you, it's comments like that which make it worth while :)

    It would be possible to add your own but you would need a bit of experience with MySQL and PHP in order to achieve this. However, I will be adding more to the mod myself prior to the next release which should be over the weekend sometime.

    So if you have any requests regarding which bookmark sites get added, now is the time to ask ;)

    SilkySmooth,

    On the social bookmarks I did not have any ones in particular in mind, but would be happy with whatever you come up with as I am not sure of the current most popular ones today beyond the top couple of big (Digg, Furl, etc.). I have a cool bar in a newly designed directory that is using your mod. The bar is pretty long (almost the width of the directory) and with the existing 12 icons it looks a little sparse. That is why I was hoping to have some additional ones. This would not only make it look better, but would hopefully get additional people to bookmark it and possibly get additional traffic!

    I look forward to your update!

    pipes,

    I am guessing you have taken the image code from one of the link.tpl files, if so check you are referencing the correct variable. All instances of $link should be replaced with $sotd, e.g.

    {$link.URL|escape|trim}

    Code (markup):
    Should be:

    {$sotd.URL|escape|trim}

    Code (markup):
    If thats not the problem, PM me a copy of your site_of_the_day.tpl and I will take a look.
