I submitted to many paid dirs owned by DP members. It's just something I do during the weekends My question is: How come some directories only accept the domain name as a title, even for the featured listings? I gave up submitting to many dirs because of that. I belive that accepting an anchor text as the title for the featured links will bring you more customers and I don't think that hurts your directories in any way. I also found directories that don't have anything about the title in their "submission guidelines", then took a look at the featured listings, they had an anchor text as a title, submitted and ended up being listed with my domain name as a title. This brings me to my other suggestion: Please include a guideline about the title to avoid unhappy customers and possibly a chargeback/reversal.I guess there are many people like me, looking to submit a title that will help with serps. I just gave up submitting to directories that don't say anything about the title in their submission guidelines. All of the above are just suggestions from a (possible)customer. Thanks!
I agree and its available with us Forplex Business Directory Link in the signature Thanks for your consideration
Yes I agree with what you have just said. And we have already included these guildlines in our submit page and the feature is available at Bams Web Directory. (Link in the siggy)
Yes I agree just having a domain name in the title doesn't let anyone know what your site is about....especially if it's like LLLL. In my directory (link in sig) you can put whatever title you wish and that is what will show up in the listings and featured.
Well, in my directory # Title must be the domain's name, unless being submitted as a featured listing. # Only Featured listings may use up to 2-3 extra keyword rich words in the title. and nobody gets away with it. if they don't like it, they can have their refund.
We also accept keyword titles, which are not necessarily the domain names... but NO SPAMMING of titles pls pls see both PR6 directories: www.linksfactory.net www.eonte.com Hope to cya!
I accept non-spammy keyword titles for all regular and featured listing in my directories, check-out my 3 PR5 directories and use the coupon code dpjune25 to get 25% off any listing. Submit4Backlinks.com 2ListNow.com WRdir.com
Thanks for the submission, ! Ask ! !! Green rep for you. britishguy, already listed in your dir some time ago. Great directory! jl255, sumitted a ling in linksfactory, already listed in eonte. jg123, already listed in Submit4Backlinks.com, bookmarked the other 2 for later. MeetHere, bookmarked your dir for next month's submission. I already exceeded my funds for directory submissions this month. an0n, when you say "Only Featured listings may use up to 2-3 extra keyword rich words in the title.", you mean like "key.w key.w key.w" or "site_name - kw kw kw". Please let me know. I sent a question about this around 2 weeks ago, through DirectoryDump's contact form. Thanks, everybody!!
In Snoop Directory I offer any title text for both regular and featured submissions. Featured come with 5 contextual links as well.
I like the guidelines. To the point. I will submit in your direcrory, too. Thanks, Richie_Ni, for the info
It may just be the directory owners preference. There are many directories that offer the option to include a couple for kws with your title; so don't give up. A few directories have been suggested here already. It's possible that their guidelines could have changed since the other sites were listed. The existing listing may or may not be edited depending on the owner. Unlike yourelf, most submitters rarely review the guidelines. But a good suggestion. Sekrit - there are better places than directories for text links. Overall, good suggestions from a submitters point of view.
I guess I do the total opposite by not accepting submissions that don't have relevant title. I do not allow submissions with URL as title or in description. Mellow Yellow 113 Directory
