The problem is the pickin's are slim on cj in all but a few niches. Amazon is probably a good idea. Though I'm not really that concerned with cj not making money on this particular site since I suspect we can actually sell the ad space directly for a lot more than most ad programs produce. I was just venting because cj *never* makes money on any site I've tried it :( 'course I've never actually tried "selling" stuff.

I'm not really in any particular market. I buy and build websites for fun and profit, but they are all over the map from MySpace resources, to humor, news, file sharing, arcades, wallpapers, php scripts, proxies, etc...

cj is good and i also make money with them, my main source and best converting ones are the sites i have the bans script installed. ie build a niche store.. see my sig for more info. "the new way to make money with ebay"

you can make some good monies :) and i do recommend getting the bans script. it converts well for ebays affiliate program. and now ebay.com are paying 25usd per new member that joins via ur links. so you can make alot of money via just them alone. and like i said above. it converts like a treat.

I've been working on my CJ site for a little over 2½ months now and I've made about $60 using CJ. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad start. But I know if I can keep on working on it and building up, eventually I will be making a lot more than that. Hopefully I can be up with the guys making over $2000 a week on CJ. Hehe :D

Unsolicited testimonial here, but I use the BANS (Build a Niche Store) script and have made almost $50 from CJ & Ebay.

While that's not a lot, you have to know that I have done ZERO promotion (and have only built 2 sites). If I had any sort of focus, I could probably make 10 times that amount every month.

Not doing as good as many of you guys here, but I'm still quite pleased with CJ (more than Adsense). But I haven't started any promotion yet, so will have a better picture in the next few months.

I think it's very true about targetting buyers and not readers. That was some good advice.

I tried cj for about 8 months now and my balance is not reached $100 yet, so I am still waiting. CJ is hard to make money compare with adsense (I think).
