tAALz, there is a Mods package for phpld with lots included, one of the things included are mods for alternative payment processors, it caters for the following. Moneybookers, e-gold, stormpay, 2c0 and alertpay. Im not sure if any of those are good for you, its worth checking to see what countries they cover and then you could possibly use the alternative payment mods. Currently Stormpay are not allowing any new accounts and just incase you are not aware 2co have a $50 setup fee.

Sure you can. Go for VSDan mod (above link) and you can use 2CO, MB & egold without any problem. The hard thing will be convincing people to pay with these methods as PP is standard payment type when it comes to Directories.
It also includes Alertpay Mod too now, i agree with Fastian that most of your payments will still be with paypal, but still nice having the options for them.
I like money bookers too. Maybe also you find someone you trust that will accept paypal on your behalf.
I think moneybookers is the best alternative. You can also check other like e-Gold. But I would chose moneybookers.
