    It must be 444.

    @aaron_nimocks

    Check your access log, you might be able to get some clue of how that happened there. Also, do let us know what your host have to say about it.

    Most of the time, I have seen people getting hacked because of miss configured web server.

    I am pretty sure his config.php permissions were set to 666, so that was probably how they did it.

    I would CHMOD to 644 as an absolute minimum; it the site runs OK on 444 then go with that.

    Ya I set it back to 644. Im almost positive I didnt set it to 666.

    Maybe thats their way of leaving a sign of the devil on my site after they hacked it. :)

    Great now I have a possed bidding directory.

    Just so you all know Hostgator didnt find crap.

    So this just leads me to believe Im a dumb ass and left write permissions on config.php

    Dont be like me, 644 it! :)

    It can depend on different scripts as to which files require different permissions, rule of thumb 644 will do it.
