A FREE way to get .edu backlinks... FROM GOOGLE

Here's one way that I've found where you can get .edu backlinks. Some will even have pagerank!

    1) Go to google
    2) Type this in the search box:
    site:.edu [YOUR KEYWORD] blog

For example, if your keyword is dogs, you'll type:
    site:.edu dogs blog

What will happen is that Google will find all websites that ends with the domain name .edu and has a blog with dogs as keyword.

You'll realise that some of the blogs are inactive (One reason is that the student has graduated but the school did not remove the blog).

These blogs will still allow comments to be added so that's where you will add your link.

    Nice eh?

You'll take some time finding the correct .edu blog, but I believe it's worth the effort.

    Try it!

    Google the following:

    site:.edu Results 1 - 10 of about 955,000,000 for site:.edu

    site:.edu dogs Results 1 - 10 of about 1,020,000 for site:.edu dogs

    site:.edu "dogs" Results 1 - 10 of about 1,030,000 for site:.edu "dogs".

    site:.edu dogs blog Results 1 - 10 of about 88,200 for site:.edu dogs blog

    site:.edu inurl:blog Results 1 - 10 of about 854,000 for site:.edu inurl:blog

Since not all blogs allow postings of comments, you need the following search operator:

    site:.edu inurl:blog "post a comment" Results 1 - 10 of about 251,000 for site:.edu inurl:blog "post a comment".

    Try:

    site:.edu inurl:blog dogs "post a comment" Results 1 - 10 of about 798 for site:.edu inurl:blog dogs "post a comment".

    Now we are going somewhere.

If you need the search operators to locate high pr .com, .net, .org, .edu, etc to post your comments to get valuable backlinks, PM me.

    Thanks

PS How to exclude "nofollow" links? Not a big secret actually.

I'm getting too many PM for search operators. Please be patient.

I'm not able to make them public here because I want to stay alive. Many are selling the ebooks of search operators between $3 and $10.

    I have a question.

How does the ''nofollow attribute'' afects the link?

Only Google will ignore nofollow links.

Any Big SEO Gurus want to dispute that?

I am by no means a SEO Guru but did read about the No follow tags and what some blog did as an experiment. It was written up at AXANDRA. It was about the no follow rule and rankings. So like it says at the end of the article that:

True that most of the searches were executed at Google but it does not mean that "nofollow" links are to be ignored totally because there are many more using other Search Engines taht do not ignore "nofollow".

Yes, most of the comments posted at my blogs are mostly of the "get harder erection" type for both sexes.

Are there truly any search operators that can display 'nofollow' tags, without having to go through the FireFox route?

Links will count but Pr won't.
Remember that for Link Popularity, it's still a + in Yahoo.

Google NEVER shows you the true amount of backlinks...that is why you simply use Yahoo's Site Explorer.

No=Follow on your site is so that you simply pass juice to your $ pages.
