Yes, the HD is running, the fans are fanning. The LED on the mobo is green. And one thing, the monitor was flickering a bit, but just with a green color, didnt see any text or anything.

Well, thank you for reminding me why I never buy Asus motherboards (their website sucks, they suck). Anyways, the only things I can think of would be your power supply in not powerful enough (checking the internet, most people run this mobo with no less than 400W, and with that video card, I would say 450W). And the other thing would be memory. I have seen a few times where the memory is bad or just not seated right and it would cause a blank screen. Usually when this happens the system will give you a beep sequence, but sometimes it won't. Or, the whole motherboard itself is not seated in the case correctly and there is a short occurring somewhere...

If you can rule all of these out, I would say that mobo is bad. It can happen...

I will check the memory again.
I will call my supplier tomorrow and ask about the power supply.

There is no beeps at all.

Its no short circuit as I can see on the mb and there is only one way to assemble it.

Its a drag to test all again because I use the power supply from my old pc. I have to change it between the two machines to go here and to test it he he.

EDIT: Tested the ram now and it is ok. I also cleared cmos, same problem.

So I went to the shop today and it turned out that the mobo they gave me do not support core2duo. Stupid *******, they waste our time.

Now I got it up and running, just have to figure out how to install XP.

The Webmaster, I cannot give you green so quickly again, must have given you some the last days.

He he, I am not heading for Vista basic anyway. I will not risk anything, I need all the small web master progs I use today. I will have a long night tonight, transfer/install all the stuff on the new comp. Think I will move the old HD`s over to the new comp and grab what I can to the new HD.
