How many links on each page?

I've seen most of the directories have around 10 - 20 links on each page

What do you think is the optimal number of links?

I never had more than 10 links per page on any of my directories but on my last one - DirectoryBusiness.eu - I've decided to keep just 5 links on each page.

    What do you think?

I've heard that no more than about 20 links per page or so.

When I get to 20 I will probably leave it like that. Unless I decide to do 10.
But when I get over 20, I think it will be time for a subcategory.

But 5 seems too little for me.
I know when I am browsing sites I hate clicking next page next page after only 5 links. I always think "why don't they put more links on one page, this is a pain"

Not a good idea to keep 5 links - it will keep pushing new links to non-indexed PR0 new pages...

    15 is what i keep.

I go 25 on bottom categories and 5 for top featured (only featured allowed on top cats).

MeetHere ... Here is a direct quote from my frontpage...

As you can see, I do things the "old fashioned" way.
    :)

And yes, that means each and every page was created by me seperately... no directory dump, no automation...
Bad or not... its the way I am...
