They beat him up because he recklessly injured a little girl. Also they are beating a grown man, not a young girl who happens to be family. Also jsut think they are doing this because he RECKLESSY injured a little girl. In your case they actually STONE a girl to death BY HER FAMILY. Now put the 2 stories together; imagine what would happen to that family if some people in texas saw them stoning the girl. I'm Sorry but these 2 stories are no where near parrallel. Yes, it happens here aswell. When I read it I was not surprised. My son was victim of a attack by Mexican ppl at the lake park . We live only 5 blocks away. He shaved his head and went to party with friends and a Mexican group was laughing at him cus of his shaved head and my son friend stood up for him and a Mexican stab him. The guy died and left a wife and 3 kids. The mexican come accross town every weekend and fill the lakes park. We get the park on week days. My point is it does happened in your neck of the woods.

But still there is no comparison between these two. 1) The first event is something that is common in those area, they kill about 15,000 to 20,000 women every year on the name of religion or honor. While the second incidence is rarely seen in US or any other civilised country, Perhaps once or twice through out the year. 2) The first event was a cold blooded murder, everything was planned out, the Later was only a hot and instant reaction. (May be an hot argument led to the end result..) 3) USA has its law and order in place, we can hope that Cops will track and arrest people behind the crime ASAP. while Killers in that region will be praised and rewarded.

Do you think that the same thing would have happened if - i don't know how else to put this - the guy was black? I, again, just want to highlight the difference between this case and the others it is wanted to be compared to. OP should pay attention here. The crime was blacks beating and killing a hispanic guy in car. Only relevant, really, for a quote I'm taking from an article. The point many of us drive home is that in certain cultures, this kind of crime is wiped off and ignored as "those are just extremists" then its forgotten. But, for some reason, no one dare speak up against it.
