I think its possible. The bible never mention anything about Jesus since his child hood and starts back up at the age of 30ish. What happen in between those years?
Hmm, I don't get any of my info from the catholic church so I don't know there views on things specifically. Mary Magdaline was known as a prostitute but changed her ways when she met Jesus. That in no way makes her subordinate to men. Jesus loved her but not as a wife, but a bride, one to be charished and protected, loved and cared for. This seems to be how he viewed women in general. He was standing up for them in a male dominated culture that did not view women with the same value that Jesus placed on women.
Mar 6:2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Mar 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. so you see jesus became a carpenter, from his childhood and before he preach...
My oppinion is the bible tells us many times how a wife is gods gift to a man, if Jesus had a wife would he not have spoke proudly of this gift, wouldnt he have mentioned it. I do not believe Jesus was married
History has been written by the powerful and the church reigned supreme at one stage. They could easily distort facts to suit their convenience. I do believe that jesus was married!
Why would they change it, the bible states wives are gifts to husbands from God, What would be so wrong about jesus being married that they would change it and lie about it?
because he was persecuted he did not want to tell people he was married, he didn't want to risk the life of his wife and his son.
your jumping around the question, why would any man be persecuted for having a wife, You are saying Jesus was deceptive, and the bible says thats not so
I didnt say that, why was he killed in the first place, so think about this, if they killed the father they would have killed his son as well?
Ok seriously are you basing your theory on a fiction movie, cause there are no real facts that would suggest such things
No not at all, i saw a very long documentary on the tv about these people trying to find where Jesus had been buried and these people were convinced that Jesus was married to mary magdalene and had a son with her. very interesting documentary, i think it was called in the search for Jesus's tomb.
But they still haven't found Jesus in any tomb have they.... They won't and can't find Him in a tomb, He isn't in one.
