I have a good job that pays very well but I am working 70 hours a week. I like the work but the hours are just to much.

I tryed the full time adsense thing a year ago, for 3months. I was making about $150 a day. I have not touch the 6 sites in 12 months and they are still earning at least $100 a day.

I have enough saved up to go at it for 3 months without effecting my life.

My Plan is build more sites and make more money.

    What do you think?

I would never depend on one form of income, get some other routes of revenue besides adsense first IMO.

I'd say several income streams are better. Don't rely on Adsense beacuse you never know when google decide to change somehting and maybe your that income drops...

And by the way, that's impressive to be able to make that kind of money every day.. I whish i was that good and understood all of it...

Yep, my advice is to get at least 10 separate and unrelated income streams. I have several at the moment but not 10 yet. Although, I did leave my job last September and have not looked back.

Don't rely solely on Adsense. If you get attacked and banned. Then, what have you got?

    Just wondering, $100 x 30 days is $3,000 per month x 12 = $36,000 per year.
Definitely don't rely on it. Enjoy it while it lasts, but continue working.

Do keep making sites and do keep trying to earn more.
Once you get about $500-$1,000 per day, then I'd say you're safe on relying on AdSense for income. You'd probably become a premium publisher if you make that much per day. :)

I still would not rely on adsense making $1K a day, and adsense alone.
You make that much, you spend more than you normally would, you learn to count on making that $$$$. You lose it and you're screwed. Way to many horror stories on adsense and other affiliate streams of income are out there.

I'd quit my job. But only if:

1 You would commit atleast half that much time to working on your sites (5 hours a day)

2 Your traffic is type in rather than SE generated.

As all the people already said, Do Not Quit your job!! :) I also think about this a lot of times, to quit my day job and just work on my sites and earn money from them, but thats not a good decision after all. Keep multiple streams of income, and dont rely completely on Adsense. Who knows Google might ban your account, or your site could be down due to hosting problems or anything bad could happen. Then you won't have any other option than to go back on your day job.

    Then do it.

With that much time, you'll be able to add a lot of content. I'd do it.

The main issue for me is being self employed. And I have some new ideas I would like to tryout but I really have no free time working the Corp job.

I also have very little time to keep up on the latest news and ideas in the online world right now. I am just doing the same thing ever week. One of the main things I like about being a web guy is having to learn somthing new everyday. I have not done that in some time.

Sorry but something about your story smells to high heaven. You work in the corporate area, plus you're making an additional $5K or more a month doing basically nothing, and you've only got enough saved for 3 months w/o effecting your day to day life much.

Now either you're full of crap, or you have no idea on spending/saving wisely. Either way to me that's something else to look into when deciding to drop your full time job. It's not always how much you make but if YOU can live off of that. To me making an additional $5k a month on top of your corporate job, and only having enough for 3 months, well that's not very good news...
I get scared at times and I've got more than enough saved, stashed in areas to live for a few years if I had to w/o any income.
