I was just looking at the link sales forum and saw this thread where a guy is selling a PR-8 link on a very strong site. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=354424 What I was wondering is if its worth it. I'm trying very hard to get my site up to PR 5 or even 6 if possible and want to know what the effects of having a link from a pr8 rated page on his site would do for my sites ranking. Does anyone have experience with this or know if this would be enough along with lots of other things to bump me up to pr5 or 6? Or should I spend the $800 for 6 months that he wants on other better things? thanks.
I am also interested to know that. I bought site wide link from PR8 site, which has few PR7 and thousands of pages. Will that help with few PR6 pages to get pr6 or pr7?
Depends on what you are after. If you want higher PR, then it might be worth it, if that site is passing PR. If you want higher rankings, I would say it's not worth it. Better get related in-content links from trusted websites. The only real reason to buy it, IMO, is when you have a really large websites with 10.000's of pages not yet indexed. With a strong link you will have a good change to get more pages indexed. Other than that I would say it's not worth it.
No, he is selling several pr8 inner pages. They are just not listed in that thread. But he is selling them.
I did! I'm not saying every site needs high PR links to get fully indexed, I'm saying that if you have a very large website with 10.000's of pages not yet indexed, it might be a good idea to get some strong links so Google will spider them and/or keep them indexed and out of supplemental hell.
it would probably be worth more if google wasn't going to be discounting paid links.. and if Google didnt read this forum..
It depends on how many links are on the PR8 site that you are getting the link from and how strong the PR8 page was. I would expect a weak PR7 or a strong PR6 if the link was from a typical PR8 site.
providing that the PR8 page was not saturated with outbound links in the past that one PR8 link would have brought your site to a PR6, but no one really knows anymore with the changes that Google has made.
Were talking a single link on a page here right? not a sitewide link. The link I'm asking about is on a strong PR8 site but is only on one page.
Recently, there was a guy who had bought a link from a PR10 (a well known stat counter) with the anchor Web Hosting. His page had already attained PR9, but he had no traffic.
I have a PR8 link from a very powerful authority site with 10 outbounds and mine h1. I got it in autumn and i had pr4 at that time. Guess what, the link is still there i am still pr4. Nonsense? How can i find out if its passing PR.. Well with all visible checks it does, no nofollow!
IMHO - buying links from PR7+ links is waste of money. Because -how many sites are there on the web with PR8+?? May be few thousands. I strongly -believe --with recent storm on Paid Links -Google eyes (human) are roaming around the net (for example Matt Cutts screenshot illustration on his BLOG) and manually checking high PR sites. With new Google algo -- just get one good PR7 link -and you get PR5. If you want 15 PR7 links --then you might get PR3/4 The Key ofcourse is not to be on Google's link-vultures --who would find unrelated links as spams and devalue the juice.
It's very interesting fixation but I suppose you. However never remember Google changes algorithm rarely.
I used to buy high PR websites and have had a steady PR5 on one of my websites for the past 3 years. Google indexes many of my pages and I have not received any visitors from them in those 3 years. I would stay away from making yourself a target and buying these high profile links.
