Optimization Techniques For Yahoo

Hi..

I have an one website and Good rankings with Google Search Engine rather than Yahoo.

Why Yahoo will not shows our Rankings ?

Is there any ways to get high search rankings in Yahoo ?

Give me some suggessions anyone on this forum.

Density and content will probably will your site to be on top of yahoo.And submit your site to yahoo search engine.

Just tell me your url and the keywords which you want your site to rank, I will give some suggestion. I had a good experience with yahoo and msn.
My site www.Zoommsoft.com ranks no1 for internet website design keyword and I recives lots of visitors from yahoo.com and msn.

Not only that particular keyword but keywords like website designing software, Website designing, website designing company, Internet company USA etc. I receive lots of traffic.

I think you can do the same procedures for the Yahoo too.
I have just done it for my blog and a site.
They are www.myseminars.blogspot.com
and
www.bollygossips.com
But I got the pr for the blog and not for the site.

 

May be Yahoo have different algo.

 

My site has twice lower SERP in Yahoo than in Googe as well. It seems Yahoo demands some other SEO than Google. What is the difference?

 

Can you look at site http://www.roksolana-dating.com and make you suggestion for next keywords: lady in Kherson, lady from Kherson. They have #1 in Googe,MSN and #5 in Yahoo for now.
Also keyword: dating agency Ukraine. Google #5, Yahoo #11, MSN #2
And for keyword ukrainian lady Google #6,Yahoo #20, MSN #70 ????

Add a meta keyword "lady Kherson"
In meta decscription add "lady in Kherson"
Use alt tag "Kherson ladies" for any image in your site.
And
atleast submit to 20 free directories with titles like

Lady in Kherson
Lady from Kherson
Kherson ladies

I can guarantee you in next rank update your site will be top on yahoo for these given keywords.

The answer for your “why” is, yahoo use different algorithm. But it is possible that if your site is ranking good on google ,by making some minor changes it can rank good on yahoo too.

Yahoo tends to like content. Mkae sure your pages have a lot of related content to the keyword/s you want to rank for.

 

This statement suits to almost every SE, not only yahoo.

 

True but ive found that Yahoo gives more serp weighting to content then Google for instance.

thanks much WM7. Exactly for advice to submit with keywords title. I still cannot determine my exactly keywords, and I cannot reach my meta tags much. I am afraid to have too much keywords and description. It can fail my rank. Is it true.

 

Yes you have long list of meta keyword and meta description. do one thing
Determine which keyword you are getting the traffic and do some keyword research at
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/

Then sort some hot key words and use them in your meta tag ,meta description, content and alt tags.

This will help you a lot.

I have the same problem with Yahoo! For some reason I got dropped from Yahoo SERPs a couple of months ago, but I'm doing well in Google and MSN. I've been in the Yahoo directory for a while. I wish I knew how to get back into the Yahoo directory.

 

i think the best thing you can do right off the bat to get good yahoo ranking is to purchase their directory listing for 299 a year, that will boost you up pretty well, but you also need other solid backlinks maybe from dmoz etc.

 

have your pages authenticated by Yahoo? if not authenticate it first...

to be able to indexed your pages. Then continue gather more relevant links.

One thing Yahoo is looking for is unique meta keywords and descriptions for EACH page of your website.

You don't need meta tags to rank well in Google but in Yahoo, you do.
