    Hi
I thought about this and decided to remove all sites which have NO alexa rank from my Wezp.com and will not accept anymore.

I just want to ask directory owners Would you remove that or already removing them:)?

    Thanks for your suggestion.

How many times are you going to check the Alexa before doing this? I mean, if Alexa has a problem with its data you could find yourself removing a whole bunch of websites that actually have decent traffic.

I personally wouldn't do this either, a lot of good websites get little to no webmaster traffic.

I am checking 3 times a week. And before removing sites I will check 3 times a month. So I will not remove immediately when I see NO ALEXA. I will check it 2 times again. And still has no ALEXA I will remove?

of course There are some websites which has no alexa rank altought it has some visitors. But I am thinking to put some rules like this. Am I very hard?

And also I thought about removing sites which has no alexa AND has PR0. What About this?

    - And Alexa information does not really mean much, it is not a good gauge of quality.

It must be a new site or newly re-designed. Unless your the only place they submitted to. Sometimes it take a few weeks to show up in the google index, why not just check yahoo.

I would never do that in my directory, one reason being, directories are where these new sites go to get PR and backlinks. If every directory owner rejected them because they had no alexa or all the other stuff then it would be a little harder for them to succeed. I still do not understand why people put weight on the crappy stats of alexa. They are worthless. I have an electronics review website that averages about 500+ uniques and about 2000+ pageviews a day, but the alexa is about 530,000. It just shows you that it means nothing!!

sites with no-nothing usually get's unapproved on most directories. i have already refunded a lot of money and rejected sites with no pr, and un-indexed pages!!
in case those sites get in, i will sure remove it, though sometimes we take in new sites, but those old sites or fallen domain which have nothing usually are removed.

am happy that you are giving importance to alexa, but then think over it again as alexa in not all that reliable!:)
