    Your not the only one. Ive seen 5 or so of these domains that arent VALID being sold at BIN this past week. Its getting out of control. So Im highjacking threads now.

    That's why i rarely use tools, the old fashioned Google the name and physically visit the pages that supposed to contain a link to the domain and note their respective PR's to see if the domain warrants Pagerank.

    Your OP quoted a link to checkpagerank.net. That site clearly says this "Warning! Due to the High volume of traffic the tool is not always working properly! It still does show the page rank but does not always show if the page rank is faked. Please check the quantity of the back links as well as the history of the domain name in order to see if it is fake. If you see many google back links but 0(zero) or close to zero Yahoo and other Search Engines back links plus the domain has no history it means that the domain has 100% faked page rank.

    Seologs has similar problems. The only one that seems to be consistently working is rankalert's tool.

    Check your domain at rank alert here.

    I don't know much about domainpagerank.com though. It seems a new site with this type of fake pr tool.

    The domain is definately fake, what has happened is when the redirect to blogspot was removed the http version had a couple of links which got the domain cached/updated so it shows as valid but the www version has not.
