Well compare www.avivadirectory.com and nattydirectory.com

This is really sad, anyone know who the owner is? even removed link to phpld

 

I don't see any problem with nattydirectory.com. Same color scheme and a woman on the front, but that's it.

There is no issue here that I can see

There is an uncanny similarity but usually in these case the designer is to be blamed...

They quote their design as original and the buyer is completely unaware of the rip off

I have faced a similar instance

Seriously, if I looked at one site right after the other, I would never think, "oh man, this guy ripped off the other one!" There are some similarities, but that is it. The site looks quite a bit different. They both use a green color scheme and they both have a woman on the front. That's about it.

I would never get upset about this, even if I were the owner of aviva.

Sure it's a little different but CLEARLY the intentions are to look like Aviva's.

 

I agree. I think it can't be called a rip(he has to steal images and css for that), but his inspiration source is too obvious.

Honestly I don't like his version.Plus it is coded very poorly(try scrolling down in FF).

Not sure what Jeff has to say about this, but personally I wouldn't care.

 

Is it possible they're both designed by the same designer and the guy paid to have the phpld link removed? Often times you can tell a designers work cause the sites will look similar, perhaps his client asked for it to be similar to Aviva.
