It seems Russia is keen on resuming or renewing Cold War tactics.

Somewhat expected now that Russia is cash rich from Oil
Putin likes to call the shots and he can to a degree because he has much more influence than say the Middle East or Korea for example
He will ensure a high degree of caution and awareness

 

To go back into their cave is maybe the only way that russia can continue their neglect of human rights such as free speach and other forms of freedom. Russia its on their way back to the stone edge. And its Putin that runs the show. And he is nothing but a corrupt murder.

if your neighbour start to place tanks next to your house, what would you do? I bet you will do exactly what the russians are doing. They are just defending their own soverignity. They are not placing any guns out of their border.

 

Yeah eventhough I don't like the current political and social state of Russia, I can understand why they aren't happy with this shield the US wants to build in Europe just at the border to Russia.
And the cold war is long over, this is just politicts. If you would have experienced the cold war you would know the differents

If Russia wants to attack Europe, let Europe take care of it.
If Russia wants to attack the US, then feel free to do whatever you want.

 

It looks more like Russia wants to help protect Europe and defend the world against Iran?

It's the US, the more EU integrates with Russia, the weaker US becomes, that's why US is nervous. [my opinion]

There's no need to attack Europe, Europe is much closer to Russia in any way than US, so this is stupid.

 

Prehaps by protecting each other will make a repeat of the cold war and the Cuban Missle Crisis, except it is called 'Polish Missile Crisis'

I don't think Russia wants to protect Europe from Iran, more like protect Iran given the multi billion dollar deals they got going. We Europeans have made a big mistake by relying on Russia for energy, given Russias past it is the last country you want to rely on. However the Polish and Czechs should think carefully, most EU countries are against the missile shields and it is the EU who are paying to modernise their countries for them, to they want to be part of the EU or the US empire, they can't have their cake and eat it..

 

Russia is in Europe, its inhabitants are European and live in Eastern Europe.

Never mind but Europeans (Western, Southern, Northern, Eastern...) should refuse US weapons and military bases on their soil. Europe is NOT the Middle East and doesn't need to be defended by a smaller power. Europe as a continent is the most powerful economic force in the world, and still a leader in arms manufacturing.

exactly, just what I said, and with Russia Europe will gain more than lose anything, US understands that and plays a game of making a conflict, in fact most Europe doesn't like them US military bases, they just scare to say it to US unlike Russia. Sure thing Russia wouldn't say a word too, if it was like 98' now .
