The bible is an amended book

My belief is that the bible is a book that has been regularly amended to accomodate the changing times. It no way near its original state. I think there has been "authority" figures in various times that have added/changed things in the bible and republished. What do you think?

I hope none of our good christian friends are offended by this. I sincerely apologize if that is the case.

Well. I agree with you 100%

What does it matter if they are? A person is entitled to believe whatever he/she wants to believe......but he/she is not entitled to respect for their beliefs.

    Too much!
    So many versions!
And this is what God says about it in the Quran:

[2:77] Do they not know that GOD knows everything they conceal, and everything they declare?

[2:78] Among them are gentiles who do not know the scripture, except through hearsay, then assume that they know it.

[2:79] Therefore, woe to those who distort the scripture with their own hands, then say, "This is what GOD has revealed," seeking a cheap material gain. Woe to them for such distortion, and woe to them for their illicit gains.

Here is an example how they deleted God's name, Allah from the Bible.

My belief is that islam is a religion that encourages violence, commands it's followers to kill non-muslims, seeks world domination through oppression and seeks to keep sexually frustrated men in a 6th century mindset as evidenced by continual "outrages" of demonstrations buring, chunking rocks, signs that say "behead those that insult islam," blowing shit up, torching buildings and basically destroying anything in their path due to their bipolar tendencies.

I hope none of our good muslim friends are offended by this. I sincerely apologize if that is the case.

Thats the whole point, isn't it? If a book is changed to suit the times, it means the people (the followers) are not being subject to the words of "revelation" that was given to Jesus by God. A book needs to be the words of God and God alone.

Isn't the name of God, in the original language, Yahweh (Jehovah)?

I rarely ever watch CNN. CNN has a history of sympathy for people that do these things. CNN did not write the quran, nor has CNN torched cars, beheaded people, hold signs that say "behead those that insult islam" nor have they torched embassies, made death threats to salman rushdie nor do they gather in pack mobs shouting death to (insert infidel of the day here).

Like other news organizations, they report the news. Being aware of such isn't the crime. The acts, are the crimes.

Prior to inventing islam, "allah" was a moon god. In order to entice pagans that worshiped "allah" (the moon god) into converting to islam, "allah" was used as "God" for islam.

Most islamic based flags have that moon on them.

    LMAO! CNN hates Bush.

Here's a hint...you're supposed to blame "Fox News!" Fox News is the reason why these people are holding up their signs:

I believe someone here is posting a whole lot of one liners without much thought as to the issues and is merely trying to bump that post count up past 1k in under two weeks.

The bible - ha! Don't get me started... oh, too late. A bunch of stories meshed together (old testament folks, I am talking old testament, don't try to hit me with the "oh whattabout' leik teh new testerment lawlz" crap.) stories from the times of old Babylon about Gilgamesh and their gods. These stories predate monotheistic beliefs and were passed down through the ages until finally someone wrote them and changed them so significantly they suddenly became some kind of brimstone hellfire damnation document.

I could write a better bible, and have less contradictions than this pieces together mesh work of crap. Secondly, now I will talk of the new testament. Why were several books kept out? Why were they unused? Why are most of them written a hundred years or more after the death of this man? Because a hundred years later there were no witnesses. I prefer the writings of those old roman historians who were actually there - they seem a tad bit more believable.

Face it, if I took Moby Dick, Peter Pan, Robin Hood, and Mein Kampf, modified them accordingly for ten years - I would have something similar to the bible. In fact, even without those more modern stories I could go out and find thirty people, ask them questions, and ask them to make up a story, and then mesh that together... and viola, I'd have a bible. I could even pull a bible out of my anterior orifice if I just pretended to be thirty different people. The book is the word of man, the word of man against man - none of these stories remain intact as they were originally told, many modified completely with their meanings perverted.

My last word on the matter: Bah!

God, if he is the one you all think he is, must have some deep psychological problems regarding himself, and must be imperfect - for he wiped the earth out of the wicked and then later on decided to save them all. The dude looks like he's mentally unstable and unable to cope with his own creation. At least when I worship cheese - the cheese doesn't bitch back with a rulebook - instead I consume the cheese, and then I cut the cheese.

This is what we call projection. AGS takes everything Alex Jones, Prison Planet, Troofers, David Icke and others say as fact and then goes onto say that everyone else -except- him do it.
