Ha-Ha Well we have to have a little favoritism. I use Visual PageRank here. As for the url mod i might go down that road, will talk to Rob when he gets round to me! (Hint Hint) Thanks Brian
Did you not read what i posted above? Tell us how one is any less or any more seo friendly. Know and understand about non-standard characters. But yes, enlighten us on the hows and whys.
see here http://www.webcolor.org/elegantdirectory.html and see http://www.directorydump.com/link-book-web-directory-link-672.html which is more SEO friendly? I am speaking about the link ids which do not do anything good!
The only possible way one could be more unfriendly than the other is that one contains numbers which you may not want to rank for, therefore lowering keyword density. But that's splitting hairs. Both urls will present no problems for search engine spidering, and that's what is meant by SEO friendly urls.
I've only taken a quick scan through but the highest i've seen on my Webmaster Directory is PR2, however the majority of detail pages have a PR2 (so its all good news for those that are listed) and obviously proof that my site is getting well indexed!
You have make some error code in fact, I remembered all the link on your latest page were error. Back to the top, I had many PR3 detail page, just upgrade to seo url and waiting for update.
Just browse the directory The error is due to the fact that I executed the link detail script for only 500 listings but there will be no problem once If a listings is submitted now! (Also I have disabled submission to my directory!)
Sorry missed your question first time round. I’m not really sure about this, maybe a mod that links to the popular details pages bit like the popular categories? On mainsearches we list the “Latest Featured Sites†this links to the detail pages, most submitters go for regular links. Therefore a featured listing can spend sometime on the main page. Thanks Brian
My dir is PR5, but the details pages show PR4 the maximum (as far as I can see). Only to show some examples: eWebPages DirectoryDump Elegant Web directory Hope to increase next update
One stategy that would work, but might not be popular would be to only link to detail pages from the category pages.
I just built a small quick tool that does this job. I too myself would like to present this information to any potential customer who wants this info. An example: http://www.ripenapples.com/pagerank-report.php I'll touch up on it a little, perhaps allowing sorting and the end user to specify how many links per page. Since smub came to me with the idea and request, I'll wait for him to return from his college tour and will release free to those interested.
yes thanks leopard for coming up with a great idea.. me and leopardat1 are partnering up for this mod and will be releasing it free on behalf of genuine paid directory and ripen apples u guys will see it shortly because i am at my college tour and will be bak... so if i am inactive sorry for the inconvienece i am busy with registering for classes
Some of our previous submitters are getting PR 3 for their link details page: http://www.generaldirectory.org/detail/link-4905.html http://www.generaldirectory.org/detail/link-4907.html http://www.generaldirectory.org/detail/link-2640.html http://www.generaldirectory.org/detail/link-4693.html http://www.generaldirectory.org/detail/link-5954.html http://www.generaldirectory.org/detail/link-5985.html and the list goes on.... But haven found any PR 4 or PR 5.. not to mention PR 6... Nice Job Rob on the PR 6 Detail Pages.
