Is their something weird going on i mean i have a site that went from getting some good google results to somehow disappearing from the google index yesterday. Its been indexed since launch about a month ago fine, and then yesterday poof, it disappeared.

Is stuff in flux, are their server down or something, was i banned, did anyone else see this before or now?

yea mine got dropped but I was actually happy about it. I originally started on a site and when Google indexed me pretty high but I turned around about 2 months later to put something different on the site and now i'm doing seo work and such on it so I was kind of happy they erased me from the board so I could start over!

    My site tanked, hardcore.

I'm looking into some possibilities tho. I still get plenty of traffic from G, but it's all for odd ball search terms. Internal pages still seem to rank ok.

However, I've been trying to get the index page ranked for over a year now for a specific term.... which is what I lost all my ranking on.

The term in question just happens to be on the index page, and on another internal page. Don't know if this means anything, but I've got some Q&A going on at some other seo sites as well.

Uhg... i'm in total hell here.

Seems like just the normal flux to me. I don't think google updates in waves anymore I think it's an "everflux"

If its a flux, then that creates another problem....

Do I leave my site the same, hoping that G will sort it out... all the while sitting here without the traffic?

Do I make some changes, and watch the flux end, leaving me in a better place than I was before (hopefully)? i.e... Later, the changes will screw up my serp position again because G will then have to re-evaluate me.

Oh. Well I've researched it and doesn't seem right to me that an entire site falls under the flux especially when new content is always being added.

If "site:" command don`t show indexed pages at all it`s quite a bad sign.. In my experience this happen when the site is banned...

For several hours yesterday my site jumped from a PR3 to a PR4 which confused as I was positive it wasn't time to start a thread here on Page Rank so I checked the data centers and it seems that several of them were down and many of the others were lagging (It took iwebtools forever to complete the test).

I'm not sure if the data centers being down can effect the Search Results, but I assume it could possibly be a related issue. (?)

You know that is very interesting! So lets say site xyz.com is on datacenter 5, that is the datacenter that has the latest information on the website, and datacenter 5 is sharing its information with the other 10 datacenters. site yyy.com is on datacenter 8. There is a poweroutage in datacenter 5, and datacenter 5 is no longer sharing information with the other datacenters about site xyz.com. Datacenter 8 no longer has fresh information from datacenter 5 and it notices this, it still has information on site yyy.com, and so do the other centers so yyy.com is not affected by this problem, but xyz.com is, so what does datacenter 8 do. It goes into old information for xyz.com, so lets say 3 months ago, and gets as much information as possible, so what could happen is if it gets enough information it can place you on certain keywords, if it cant get enough you can even be gone from site:, and eventually if datacenter 5 is down enough datacenter 8 and the others can actually keep the data from 3 or longer months ago for site xyz.com because it doesn't have good information.

So can our sites that are constantly being destroyed once in a while, can it be possible that we are on a some sort of faulty datacenter, or in a city with a faulty datacenter that is constantly crashing or maybe power outages or whatever, or poor upgrades during algorithm upgrades/pagerank, that cause some sort of rollback on other datacenters to display incorrect/old and outdated results in google results? Is this a possibility? Can it be that it keeps the homepage in it, but with limited information on our keyword it places us very far into search due to this problem while it is being resolved...if it shall be resolved at all?
