Hi I just wanted some advice please. I have an auction website with many many catogries listed. The website is brand new. Now if I type in to google
site:mydomain I get 6000 results. My question is -Will adding a google site map in the exact way as google explain using the python script on the server, would this be of detriment to me or an advantage.

    regards Harvey

p.s. is it currently the case that google is crawling all of your pages without indexing?

    Hi Nick,
I have 5850-6000 pages indexed on google. I will do this within next cuple of weeks. I am going to follow googles directions and install python on the server and then the site map software and run a recurring script.

many pages indexed -- As for the sitemap, try to make it recurring and have your pages placed with high priorities. If you are using a CMS system, there are always sitemap generators built into the application. As for python server-side scripting for sitemaps -- make sure none of the pages are broken off.
