I have a great CTR rate for AdSense Search :D
But it's on site for only two days, let's hope it stays like that :)

    What's your search CTR?

CTR for search generally tends to be quite high. Some days are better than others though.

I think we're not supposed to discuss CTR but I would direct my visitors their after they see the ad blocks. Put it below the fold.

    Why ?
I'm putting the search input above the fold, and the eCPM is usually higher with searchs than with standards Ad Blocks.

Well for me in June (76,000 total impressions) eCPM for Content is more than 4 times eCPM for search. It's been that way for the last couple million impressions.

On my site aprox 10% of visitors are using my Google Search button which by default is set to do searching only on my site.
Why ? Because is a huge site (+500,000 indexed pages on Yahoo) and is the faster and easier way to locate the page they are looking for.
PS: That Google Search is located on top right of every page.

One thing to remember is that on a search result page you have a page of things to click on and a person who is looking for something to click on. On a content page there is content and things to click on and the visitor may be satisfied with the content and have no need to click.
