I found a site selling monthly PR9 text links - would you buy one for your directory?

You say you are "almost willing to bet" - I say "I am ready to bet" - specially if the link is on FOOTER Matt Cutts has an eye -specially for footer links -and he illustrated it on his BLOG with a screenshot of that LINUX footer.:(

The link is useless. It doesn't pass PageRank, especially with the large number of links. Now that Google has also been detecting paid links, it's a worthless buy to the buyer unless the buyer is aiming to get $1500 worth of [targeted] traffic from the link.

Whatever link someone has just leave them alone coz they don't bother your links anyway. Go find yourselves one.

Agreed, I am surely not hating on the ones who have went out got themselves these kind of links. If you feel they will work out for you then by all means do so. If I really wanted to I could do the same thing. I'm just pointing out the fact that people around here seem to talk to much about how they have this and that, or someone else points it out for them. But hey, whatever works to get submissions right :).

I’m not sure that I would risk spending that sort of money.

It’s already pointed out that some high pr links can drop on the update, bad news if your 2 weeks into your links term and a pr9 drops to pr7.

Saying that if you own a top site and making lots of money the risk might only be a few days’ earnings, in that case some would be interested.

I would never buy a link that I couldn’t sustain, one thing getting a high pr but keeping it is just as important.

Keep your money in your pocket; work hard and a good pr will come.

    Thanks Brian

Why is it TV Commercials are expensive on time slots at 8PM as against 4AM ? Why do business even spend that money on advertising ? Its all about quality as it can get. Sure no problem for a business to advertise at Telephone books or Neighborhood Flyers but the ESSENCE of BUSINESS Marketing is up to the OWNERS and HOW DEEP the POCKET is. Whatever they do they do it for a reason. SUCCEEDING or NOT and its up to their individual judgement to do WHAT is RIGHT on NEXT UPDATE and for their Directories. We find links and could cancel them anytime and that is our PRIVILEGE if it gets unworthy of the amount we pay for.

    Just a thought. ;)

Nextel Very Deep Pocket To Advertise Here
What do they get out of that ?

    Thanks guys.

I think i got the response i was expecting.

I wonder if i send matts cutts an email asking for a PR7 link from him, what he would say :p

    Forget noobishness, back to business.

Have any of you ever bought PR7+ links?

    or is PR7 your limit?

Well on a pure Cost/PR evaluation and risk distribution makes more sense to rent 30 PR7 links at $50 average = $1,500/month

If you directory is a new one and are ready to experiment $1500 - go ahead and be prepared to either get PR7/8 or banned from google.

Nobody can say what google will do or does.

That is definitely a wise assessment. Best post of the thread in terms of thinking before clicking that submit button :)

I agree. Its a much better idea to do that, rather than waste money on PR9 sites.

Fact is i don't have 1500 to burn experimenting :D i earn $400 a month with my part time job at the supermarket, my main income comes from making money online. Plus i stuffed $1500 into promoting zorg links, so i have little to spend :)

from one side, if you don't risk, you don't play the game. on the other side, its stupid to risk $1500 when its all that you got.
