Google says they are looking for links that are obviously paid and making it so they do not pass PR from the linking site (everyone should already know this ) My question. Has anyone bought a high PR link (pr7) and not had it do anything for thier site? Are there cases where it seems google has found and decided not to pass any PR. Also for a low PR site (like a PR 3), what would be the expected raise in PR if you did buy a PR 7 link? (pretty much not related to the linked to site)
Tooo many unkowns to answer really. Just make quality content write stuff people will want to link to. Make a great resource and you'll climb naturally. If you make the site w/ the user in mind; you'll be inadvertantly making it with the big G in mind. Can't go wrong!
expected PR passing would depend on how many outgoing links that site has, and if google decides to find links and not pass PR, it'll do it to all sites, not just that one
True, but I was wondering if anyone had examples of this really happening. High PR site, 10 or less outside links on the page, no nofollow. But PR does not get passed. You would only be able to tell with a very high PR link because that would be the only type where a single link would likely make a large enough difference to be noticed.
i think you must care about the page rank. it's only a number which calculated for fun. just continue to build backlinks with low outgoing link numbers
do not know as yet, but will definitely see in a bit. Google appears to be delivering less traffic to my site of late. ttgapers
