I started a campaign earlier today. I'm new to Adwords, though I've been watching the Google videos on the basics. I have 337 phrases all related to my main phrase. I used the budget optimizer and per the tool, there should be 1200 clicks over 30 days. So I figure that an average of those clicks per day is 40 clicks/day. So where are the impressions? My counter still says 0...a goose egg... Because my account is new, Google says it's using an average for all my keyword phrases, and I made sure they all had traffic per the bar charts. Should I not use so many and also, does my landing page have to have the phrases embedded to rank well? I read in someone elses post that he just used 7 phrases and peppered his landing page with these phrases. Is this the way to go with adwords?
AdWords stats can be delayed by 3 or more hours. Also, if you have a new account there can be some additional delays.
Thanks, I see this, my impressions finally started, however I had an average position of 27. I upped my max cpc, but I don't see any noticable change yet. How do I find out who's paying the most for the keyword phrase? I really want to turn on the flood gates.
You can't find out who's paying what. Play around with your bids and watch your average position to get an idea of where you need to be in order to get some action.
Keep tracking your position and maintain the position and get a better CTR and your cost per click will be reduced also.
