Not to rain on your parade, but if I started site with "crazy alien webmasters" in the title and with some keywords, I am sure I would be number one in 5 days too. Try ranking number one for "social bookmarking" and you got my attention.
No because it doesnt work properly. The results arent accurate so you can get the best idea using quotes. For example Animal Zoo http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=allinanchor:animal+zoo returns 67,000 results "Animal Zoo" http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=allinanchor:"animal+zoo" returns 176,000 results The allinanchor command hasnt worked properly for a long while now. But using quotes will give you the closest idea.
The allinanchor command hasnt worked properly for a long while now. But using quotes will give you the closest idea.[/QUOTE] Just type your phrase using quotes without allinanchor, why would that be of any difference? looks like it does give other results
Dont really know how to explain this then I guess.... The more competitve a term is the more people will have it in the anchor text for their links. Usually means they are targetting that keyword or trying to rank for it. This is what allinanchor measures. When you just type in the results it just shows how many times it show up on a webpage. That doesnt mean all those webpages are targetting that keyword.
Me too, but how many people are typing in "social bookmarking guide" into the Google search bar? I'd wader not many.
Im my case, for my key phrases like: ford 2007 europe or famous mazda slogan, i am not targeting for them, they come from the combination of words and take places #1 that is why allinanchor and quotes dont show anything for me There are 13million pages with this word combination ford 2007 europe but my site is #1 That means alot!
Not bad. But those key terms aren't in any way profitable. They might be able to bring traffic though, you never know. How did you do it without even having that keyterm in your title phrase?
It is quiet usual to see top rankings for new sites in the first few weeks but, you will be dropped eventually.
That's a myth, and no it won't. You really should read the whole thread so you know what's going on. -Michael
G gives a chance to the new site. if you continue to become on the same serp position, it's the success. the example that you mention is normal google proccess
