    Try www.worldwidebrands.com

    I have been using the dropshippers they recommend for the past few years and have never had any problems.

    I second, Jim.

    Worldwidebrands is a 4+ year old company offering a wholesale drop shipping list of companies. They're legitimate and I've been a member for over 2 years.

    www.alibaba.com = make sure you make a hotmail w/e account ONLY FOR THIS. You'lll get spammed to hell but hey if you find one it's worth it. Always make SMALL orders to start and only increase INCREMENTALLY. SOme screw you on the get go others want to build trust than do it. Lotsof good people also lots of scum so be careful.

    Dropshipping profit margins can be thin. Chances are, the if your using vendor from worldwidebrands, so are other webstores. This create competition and newbie competition loves to sell are cut throat prices.

    If you do decide on dropshipping, focus on a niche with little competition.

    Very interesting but just curious has anyone ever negoiated directly with a manufacturer that wasn't already performing this service for its clients (lets assume they have only sold primarily to brick and mortar establishments);
    1. What did you say to convince them to try it
    2. What argument would you use where they normally have large order requirements to not incur shipping and to receive their discount structures?

    Not sure if i should start my own thread, but i'll start here for now.

    I'm wanting to be the dropshipper, but i'm not sure where to start. I run an actual indian dvd retail store in the US and have supplied contracts with various manufacturers so my price is very cheap. This business has no website or anything technical working for it... just regular ol' retail.

    anyone know of the next steps of becomming a dropshipper after you have secured your product?

    Yes. Contact World Wide Brands. They will screen you with a number of questions. If you fit their criteria, they will list you for free in their Drop Ship Directory.

    go to trade-shows and ask the people there, it's more secure than finding one over the internet - personal contact is key (my opinion)

    Dropshipping is a profitable business, with the right product. I make money selling one type of product on eBay. The reason people buy it - it is imaginative, unique and no other sellers have anything like it. Just try and find a unique product

    Is there anyone that can create a unique dropshipping site that sells a variety of items with a script that creates metatags for each page? I have an seo that can get just about any keyword ranked in the top 10 of google and im looking for a good business to put his talents to use for me and for him.
