If you have informed them then probably you won't. No one knows for sure except the big G.

They track the IP the click the ads and they track the IP you use to access the admin panel for Adsense. If they match up too many times, kiss your account goodbye. 1-2 clicks and they may give you a mulligan but more than that, you're just asking for trouble.

No, probably just before you reach $100!
But seriously, if it was a rare genuine mistake you don't need to worry too much.

You will not be banned if you made a mistake and clicked on your own ad 1-2. If you wanted to try the system and decided to try clicking a few times to build up your adsense, then yes they will ban you. Google is not an idiot and they know when you are screwing them and the advertiser. If you look at the people on here claiming to be banned for no reason, the more they talk the more you will find out why they were banned.

Follow the TOS and if a mistake happens they will not ban. Try to be smarter then Google with little tricks and they will ban you quickly.

do a study on how many clicks it take to get the google algo pissed.

this month click 1 per day, next 2 and just keep increasing. When you hit the magic number they will tell you.

Really, over the last few years I have hit a few links by mistake but nothing ever happened to me.

cklicking your own ads will be a reason to banned from adsense. you will lose your account and they will never allow you to join the adsense again , if you click your own ads

Incredibly bad advice. Maybe meant to be a joke, but some people might take your words seriously.

I think Google said in one of there newsletter e-mail things that i get 2 of every week, is that they do track your clicks and automatically deduct them as necessary. Specifically they said the not to e-mail Adsense, because they no and don't want to get 20 million e-mails a day from publishers.

You should be safe I think.

Sorry I thought this forum had people at some level of intelligence, of course no thinking person is going to do an experiment waiting on their google account to be banned. then I concluded with a "Really" followed by reasonable advice.

Now this is what I think is extremely bad advice and should not be followed:
this is including dangerous information that someone thinks google sent them (maybe) at one time or another.

This is from the Google AdSense Program Policies:
I really don't see how anyone looking at the google policies can think its ever ok to click your own sites ads.

If you are going to be involved in any affiliate program make sure you read all the terms conditions and policy pages before you start.

Just one question ! You went to your own site (by accident) and then your mouse went over the ads (by accident) and then you clicked it (by accident)

    ???????????

You never had a click before and you were wondering if it the click would show up in your account !

    Do not worry !!!

For a few years the same thing happened to me (by mistake)

    and i'm still in !

Yes, in inside adsense posted last a few weeks, they indicated that there is no need to inform and worry about just one click own ads accidentally, coz google automatic check and google knows that is your own click, and they already deduct or non-calculate on your earning report, no worry at all.

I ever clicked my own ads long time ago, before this notification comes into inside adsense post, That time I got worried then I wrote e mail to inform googel team, the answer from them as I said, no worry that much

    ^_^ good luck
