i find some wp blogs reach pr6. that's really good for just a personal blog. wonder how they can do it? i have consider several factors, pls give your opinion: 1. do it have to get at least one pr7+ backlink? 2. does the everyday traffic affect the pr? 3. is feed subscriber number an important factor? 4. does some social network tools, such as digg,del.icio.us, play important role on it? those are what i can find, can anyone give your answer?
If a blog gets pr6 or higher, it must be very popular. It will also usually have directory listings, but the basis for that high pagerank is simply that a lot of other blogs and sites link to that blog.
getting PR6 is not hard if you know basic SEO and do a fair few link exchanges in the same niche. I have had one site in 6 months make a PR6
Hi Connections, Just curious, but did you ever buy any links for that site? or is it all free/incoming links? Rosiee
Getting PR6 is easy, all you need to do is create a really cool blog and get loads of other sites to link to you. Most PR6 blogs probably never submitted to one single directory or bought a link, its all done with link bait.
sponsor some wordpress themes. It will allow blogs with high PR to give you backlinks without noticing much.
I would comment on only social bookmarking factor that they do affect your ranking, I am not sure if they highly affect or whatsover but they do affect your ranking.
you don't necessarily need a PR6 link pointing back to your site to be a PR6. I know a PR8 site that has hundreds of relevant links pointing to it and the highest of these hundreds of links is only a PR5 but because there are so many incoming links it obviously adds up to PR8
you will also get help by having a big site to generate internal PR. Each "page" that points to your index generates Page Rank. Good SEO can focus most of the incoming PR back up to the index page. this would mean doing things like nofollow links to most of your internal pages except the index. that will ingeneral push the PR up to the index. And of course you need links from outside, and the more the better
I find that hard to believe, its a consistent PR8 for various updates and the highest link is a PR5? Please PM me the URL.
It makes absolute sense that pr6 pages don't have that many pr6 links pointing to them. There are far more lower pr pages/sites, so in order to get to pr6 and up it's really just about having lots of quality (pr3 and up) links.
I don't think links from social bookmarking websites will help in attaining PR because they are "nofollow" which means no PR juice will pass.
