    Hey Everyone,

Just wondering, I have 5 undeveloped domains, no hosting, just wondering if now is an ok time to start a proxy with school ending in a week or so, should I develop them now and promote until Sept or hold off til August???

    Thanks everyone

Perhaps not, schools are closed in the US/Canada, so don't expect much traffic.

There has been a huge traffic decrease for me...

But if you get sites now, get them popular with a bit of traffic, there is no saying how much traffic you will get when kids go back to school.

People also still go to work, so you can probably still get a decent amount of people visting your site!

    Hope that helps!

I'm also starting up my network now, and I see a really traffic drop during the weekends and a small decrease during the week because schools are indeed closing.
However, during holidays you can build up your network, SEO and tweak everything

Wrong time... Wait till couple of months till school opens again.
But you know you can always get a head start till school starts.

well I started a proxy last week and Im already getting 500+ uniques a day, so im not worried about building up popularity, I guess I'll hold off for a month or two and start them then.

    Thanks all

The proxy market is very overpopulated. It's not as easy to make money with as it once was.

With a small marketing plan, I have started to make almost $10 a day, with a couple proxy's I launched last week, we'll see if it holds up though.

No sir. 5 proxies go up, 5 proxies come down. That's the nature of the proxy game, there is always room for more.

I'm still pushing $10/day with just 2 proxies.

Any time is a good time to start a web proxy, if you offer something unique, creative or faster than your rivals then you keep the advantage. Check out some of my proxy webmaster articles on the Proxy Builder Blog.

    They allow proxies?
Proxies can make some $$$ but they are honestly a pain in the ass, plus the server fees. ATM I have 2 servers strictly for proxies and they barely cut it at times.

Setting up a web proxy takes only a few minutes of effort.

It's easier to do than to think about. :)

Initial setup is a breeze. Dealing with those who try to use the proxy against you for spam, hot linking, host issues, etc is a totally different story.

    I pay $50/month for a VPS; 40GB, 1500GB bandwidth, 1500GB of space.
No downtime, all proxies are running smooth as can be.

I don't host with any of the usual suspects.
    I'm comfy.
