I am in proccess of creating Automatic Directory Submission Software and when i say automatic i really mean automatic, all you will need to do is input captcha if needed. Software will automatically - find category that interests you, - fill all the forms - ask you to input captcha if needed - select submission type (free or reciprocal) - send directory reciprocal URL to your site if needed Repeat proces for every directory on list. Generate raport. And here are my two questions, because i think there will be 2 groups interested in it: 1. Directory owners: What do you think of such software? 2. Directories submitters: Would you be interested in such software, if yes then how much would you be willing to pay for it?
I will immediately ban the IP using an automated software while submitting to my directory. It takes some time for a human to submit a site --so if I see the same IP submitting 10 sites in 5 mins --I'll bann the IP --without wasting a second
I understand where you are coming from, but what if it would be let's say "quality" submissions, would you still ban someone who is doing this? My software is (will be) designed to submit website within current project once to selected directory, i will be impossible to submit 2 sites within seconds. However it will be possible to submit other site when running other "project". OT: As i think of it, there isn't good or bad software, it's the way you use it makes it good or bad.
I am seeing increase in spam submissions with this software... From dir owners perspective, my answer is a big NO
I don't about you but look at the people around HERE in this SECTION. Most of them are and have MODS of DEEPLINKS so How will it work. Besides most of them live in their directories so 1 or 2 submissions are being edited by HUMANS or are being submitted by humans.
Software is designed only for submitting to free directories, i never saw there deep links, and even if there were some then it will be probably optional, to add them. (Anyway i hope we are talking about the same thing ) If i understand you correctly then only small number of submissions is edited by humans, how is that?
I said Look around ya. Your software is good at Solcitations and Announcements not here since MOST who are HERE are the PAID ones. Goodbye...and Have a Nice Day.
I use a directory submission software currently. I don't look at is as any different than using roboforms or some other form-filling automated system. They way I use it is to submit one of my sites to many different directories, as opposed to many sites to the same directory, in one sitting. Since I still confirm the correct category is selected (or for directories which require navigation to the correct category), I'm not sure why a directory owner would be opposed to the way I use it. That said, I can see how such software could be used in a way that directory owners don't like, so...
rennick: this is exactly how i want to make my software work, one link submission to many directories, but i also want to make category selection automated. I know it will never be better then manual submission, but time needed/number of successful submissions ratio probably will be better with automtic submission. I am coding with Microsoft Visual C#
id say dont re invent the wheel. There are other software that already do this like www.digixmas.com Would be better off doing something more unique.
As an owner I wouldn't be interested in having my directories submitted to automatically. As a submitter I prefer to do it manually, there are so many variables in submissions, such as finding the best category, deeplinks, etc.
i believe several other softwares are here alrdy which do tht .. so its not needed and who ever uses the software ... will get an IP Ban from me
I for one don't like automatic in my directory as it is I have 2 places that submit articles to my article directory which I have to weed out and get rid of the rubbish so I would ban one submitting to my web directory
