Sounds like you are out to show our organization has some sort of agenda. If so, what is it then? Are we out to corrupt people's minds to sway them from the truth? As I said before, anyone can twist the scriptures to their own means or agenda. I am afraid we are not that type. I can't believe you are talking that positively about KJ version. You said the "accuracy". Get a few scholars to say something contradicting about a book and all of a sudden there's a question about "accuracy". Hence, if there is something slanted as "inaccurate" then there's gotta be an agenda. Otherwise, why would any organization go to the lengths that Jehovah's Witnesses go to, to spread the good news about the kingdom? You also mentioned "Westcott and Hort" again. Did you not just bag them in a previous post? yet, here you are saying they have the "original" Greek texts? I ask you this. What purpose would it be to build a web site that maligns Jehovah's Witnesses? I mean, usually, if someone goes to such a length to malign someone else, it is usually to expose an agenda. As usual, there is no agenda. You are clouded by what other people say and you are going with it. If you want to keep riding that merry-go-round, then enjoy the ride while it lasts my friend. Because time is short according to the Bible. The scenario of Noah and the Ark was not written for nothing. It was written to show us how quickly things can happen when the "go" button is pushed. But, not without fair warning. No matter which Bible you read. The things Jesus said in the Gospels and also in Revelation about our time (and how he referred to Noah's time) do not change. The change is going to come whether you like it or not. It's up to each of us as individuals to find out what is truth and what is not. If you ever sat down in any of our Kingdom Halls anywhere in the world, you will experience things for yourself first hand. It's the only way really. No one can tell you these things. Only you can experience them. I hope you find your answers to the questions my friend and in time. Col
Honestly, I don't believe you have any agenda other then spreading what you think is the truth. The only problem is that what you're spreading goes against God's word in some big ways. One of the key points of the Bible is that you have to believe that Jesus is God in order to be saved. That's not an exact quote, just one of the statements of mainstream Christian doctrine. I know that doesn't matter to you, but it does to me. I care about the 4 million people who I recently became aware will not likely go to Heaven, but have the best intentions in their mind and are trying to be true Christians, only problem is they were mislead. That link has other things refuting JW doctrine yes, but I really just wanted to show you how different those verses were side by side, and yes, I believe the men who created the NWT had an agenda, not sinister in their mind, but again, mislead. And yes I'm sure a JW meeting place is a very friendly and comforting place. I would get into that more, but I don't feel like it'd be the best thing for me to talk about since you don't show any sign of being open to any points of view other then your organization's anyway. Just remember that if you ever leave JW though, you can still walk into any Christian Church and will be freely accepted and supported. I'm not really arguing whether the end times are near or not, I don't claim to know or think I'd ever be able to know. There is another side to it that isn't based on dispensationalism and it has some pretty good arguments for why those prophesies could be refering to things that already happened long ago, closer to Jesus' time. I don't subscribe to either. I don't believe it's important to know when the second coming will be, just to know that death and judgement are inevitable. I could get hit by a car and die tomorrow, so as long as my concience is clear that I'm saved, it really doesn't matter. And I would try to spread the truth of God's word whether it was the end times or not. Anyway, I am done trying to argue with you. I learned quite a bit in process, and I feel like I've made my point, so I'll just let it go.
That's fine by me matey. However, there's not a chance I would ever leave God's organization and there is even less chance of me going to any other organization. Especially, mainstream ones. However, I can say the same for you walking into any one of our Kingdom Halls. You are most welcome to sit and listen. The Bible makes a point that not many will survive God's day of judgment. There's no number it quotes that will survive. However, I am open to conversation as long as it is a two-way conversation and without one attacking the other. I am not here for an argument either. If you think I am going to Hell than that's OK. Coz I know Hell is not a Bible teaching, so I am fine with that Nice chatting with you! Col
did you go to the school?? Have you studied science? if it doesnt sound too hard for you then read this - Evolution of life That education is called Science I tell you something - When I was kid abou 5 year old, I asked my mom that how did I come to earth, She said God gave me to her.. I believed it unless I got to learn about reproduction.. So its simple. When people can explain things, or find it hard to explain they say.. God did it and we believe them, thats okay. But once we get to know the real reason behind it but still believe that God did it, is ridiculous and blindness..
Read them already... No Science in your early posts.. So you are trying to say.. God started with an experiment, and created a high density cosmic cloud.. then carried his experiment with a big bang.. that created (over billions of years) the whole universe, then God had chosen Some specific cosmic objects (that we call planets) then cooled them down. then he created single cell organism out of his experiments then carried it further and keep improving those organism into more complex bio structures!! Funnily enough when he succeeded with creating the most intelligent bio structure called human on a planet called Earth, he spread them around the world and then again picked up few chosen ones(humans) and appeared to them in different forms, and instruct them in different languages to spread the knowledge around, to call them selves Prophets and saints, and most specifically to create different religions and give him(the god) different names. That too on different Time frames? Ridiculous, isnt it?
well everything on earth has purpose, and we are made by purpose. The next question how do we call on and seek for our purpose here on earth? Who knows our purpose here better than our creator? Who is human creator, some called high powers, some called God. But yet whether we like it or not we come for a purpose and you need to find or at least seek the original conceptor of you
Same as every kid wants a mum and dad, every human race wants a creator ........ To me it's madness to try and comprehend that another being ( one that is invisible to humans ) is responsible for everything you see .....
Fair comment Joe. We all have a choice. To believe, or not to believe. It all boils down to that. The main thing is we don't go around trying to kill one another to enforce those beliefs. Col
