MyWebZip.com is a free online service that creates zips, tgz and tars for you, wherever you are… all you need is internet with a browser.
It allows people to upload up to 10 files and compress them into various formats like zip, tgs and tar. Or they can upload a file archive and have the site extract everything and the visitor can download the file(s) from that archive.

System:

This system works on zip, tar and tgz for both archiving and extracting (zipping/unzipping).

Used for:

This web site is useful for people when they are at school or work or on a pda and cannot install an application to unzip and zip for them (they dont have admin privilidges).

When files are zipped and unzipped they are places on the server, which can take up some room. However older files can be deleted people (un)zip their files and then download them. So unless you have a nice server size you can just take some time cleaning. Or you can implement the code yourself by adding a feature to remove the files after they have been used.

Secure?

Yes, the script is secure, so that people can unzip files that contain .php scripts. The files are "force downloaded" so that if they extract a php script, and click on the .php link, a file download prompt will show (instead of the script running like normal).
