linkforever.net's mod hangs up my directory!

No need to discuss. You can see Phoenix everywhere the same. Trying to play the smartest genius of all. Talking a lot, doing less.
And more - even if he doesn't know people he has no problem with offending them.
No difference if someone could be his father, no difference if someone has more than 15 years experience in programming. No difference if someone has number of clients and soft users he can only dream.
He's moving from thread to thread and post again everybody and everything.

Keep cool Grandpa. Some people thinks by coming from Uni's are supreme. That's a wrong concept. I am nowhere from a UNI but I employ people from UNI's so I think some are much clever than some people from Uni's coming from me as grew up being a Poor Boy from Asia making my way in a small offline enterprise and employs 6 University of Maryland Graduates.

this is getting out of hand,which seems to happen alot here in this forum..I have several of dargres mods on my sites,as well as others mods and i let them install so if there is an issue,they being standup ppl, would try and fix..

Ive been installing it on all my directories as standard issue..

We ran into some small altercation that silk fixed
within minutes but i dont rember ever having that problem so...

It would unfairly deprive people like you, dargre and any other volunteer who makes mods for phpld from making money you probably need, thats what it would do. Look at your deep link mod and how quickly others took over on it, people wont pay you a $100 for it when they can get it free.

Point is anin, I never even seen the code but you guys went balistic in panic calling me a thief and shit as you know anyone with a bit of coding knowledge could have taken it and gave it away or sold it as thier mod. I WOULD NEVER DO THAT. I was making that point to the OP in defence of you guys as I hate thieves just as much as you guys.

Its you people who need to chill out, don't provoke arguments all the time, shit they say defence is the best form of attack, you guys do nothing but attack, calm down, read what I post, not what you THINK I post, I actually look out for most of you but without the brown nosing that goes on by most people on here.

Ok, I guess this is geared towards other people and not me since I don't bitch people out, I just call them out on their asininity.

 

I have downloaded dargre's mods also. I haven't installed the mod mentioned here yet, but I am confident it will work great.
I had a problem with another mod's installation and contacted dargre about it.
Man, this guy is a real professional, with knowledge of his code.
He spent a lot of time to make the mod work for me with great success. And note that he DIDN'T HAVE to do this for me. He just did however.
Now I can't believe that someone has a reason to blame this guy.
I can't believe that someone asked for help and help was not provided to him.
I know I am a very satisfied client, and want to express my support to dargre as he is doing a great job.

Think of it in completely different way:

Most people are not able to install the mod for very simple reason: their code knowledge is poor.
From my experience I noticed 90% of users have problems with installing mod even if it comes with detailed installation instruction.

And next thing: do you think $10 for 10 mods (one is coming with 35 new files and lot of code changes) is too much?
Also remember not the code is so important but idea.

But I'm sure you even were not so kind to visit my website and read my rules.
This is what I hate people most: don't know the rules, don't know people but are first to offend for things they have no idea.

And even if I take $20 (highest price) - not for mod but rather for installation, I take it as I must spend 3-4 hours on someone's directory not only to install but also to adjust mod to template, to send several emails clearing how it works, to answer next emails with more user's questions.
Do you really think it's expensive?

So be so kind and think twice before you write things that can make someone fair and honest really mad.

Also do not act as super coder as I'm sure you're not.
I never think this way of myself though I'm programming for more than 15 years.
Though I created dozens of other desktop softwares, have thousands of registered users and my software was awarded many times by most popular magazines.

If you do not find all those things enough to have minimum respect this simply means you are impudent, malicious, poor person.
Hope it is not and you prefer to stay friendly with this and other communities as this the only way to get some friends and gather some respect.

Ahhh...Unfortunately for you i just paid him $450 yesterday for deep link and link type mod. Count in the spam guard, cat splitter etc etc.

You know why. Coz maybe there are free mods out there. But, argghh, do you get the suport, do you get the cent percent perfection on the installation. And certainly you do not get the trust and faith in that mod.
What IF that free mod damages your directory once and for all. Whatch you gonna do then...Backup (incase one takes it), restore, work again, and put back links again and again...Or probably just forget about it as a QBC and let the domain die.
Get serious if you are a directory owner and respect the mods and the work done by other fellow developers. Ain't flaming you but this is the fact!
