Hey guys... I'm trying to figure out how these Google Adwords spying programs work, particularily http://www.adspypro.com For example, it claims to "Tells You Which Keywords & Keyphrases Are Profitable" To do that, it would need CPC data and conversion data for the ads...right? Furthermore, the program says it uses proxies to get around getting banned by the search engines...not good in my book. I'm wondering how useful these spy programs really are? ~Adam

So basically, it'll just tell me: My competitors keywords My competitors landing pages My competitors ad copies So essentially it will allow me to copy my competitors campaigns... ~Adam
No. Your primary objective is to learn how long your competitor's campaign has been running. As no affiliate will leave an unprofitable campaign to run for a long time, you can deduce that a campaign which has run for, say, over a month is making a return. By observing the keywords, ad text, landing page and overall sales funnel used by your competitor, you can secure an idea as to which keywords, ad texts and landing pages work in your niche. Your goal is then NOT to copy your competitor's campaign but to improve on it. You take his keywords, but you try to 1) construct a better landing page 2) write better ad texts 3) ad better incentives/bonuses and do just about whatever else you can to make your campaign better.
