Not exactly sure where to categorize this - but I was wondering if anyone had been using del.icio.us for site promotion - trying to generate buzz, and want to know if there have been any results/strategies developed for approaching del.icio.us. I started inexing part of my site on del.icio.us (remembering every page) and had some alright results, especially when picked up on different sites feeds. Anyone else doing this or trying somehting like this?
I've dabbled. Mostly I've come to view del.icio.us as more of a tool to gauge my site's popularity than as a viral traffic builder.
Since posting originally my site has been picked up on multiple feeds and I have gotten some quality traffic this way - not an overwhelming amount but it's just one more way to draw traffic that I thought I would share.
