this month was pretty steady earnings from $5-$12 my problem is the last few days i am getitng the same amount of traffic, ctr, and clicks yet its only making $1-3ish per day.. IS there any way i can get more money per click or how does smart pricing work exactly?

    You can cry

    - or -

You can move on from adsense like I did when my earnings went from good to bad to omg I think they are almost in negatives ;)

Get a friend to make an account and switch them over to his.

If you are earning below 0.1$ then you have been affected by Smart Pricing. The only cure for this is to update your content into quality content and then wait for a week or so.

SmartPricing happens to all of us.. there are a few things you can try:
    1) remove Adsense from pages with low CTR
    2) dont over-blend your ads - this might make people click not realizing they are clicking on ads, resulting in low conversions
    3) Use channels on pages with more than one adsense block, and remove poorly performing blocks
    4) Supplement your Adsense earnings with Kontera - you can read a bit more using Kontera & Adsense HERE.

Exaclty. My sites were proxies so the visitors were very low converting even though I had a pretty good CTR.

In the end, you make more having just a few quality visitors, than lots of sucky ones (get around 30 cents per click for the former... 10 clicks a day is $3... or 1 cent per click for the later... 100 of them is just $1 a day)

it's not necessarily a bad thing.. but if people are clicking thinking it is a navigation link or something, they will never convert for the advertiser. Non-converting clicks = smartpricing..

dont go crazy UNblending your ads..

Right, blending is fine as far as making them fit the motif of the site...but, deceptive blending is "right out".
