I'm just saying, if we do it for one we have to do it for all.

Have you decided if France, Russia, China and their military should go there or not? You don't want the US to be the policeman of the world but you say "if we do it for one we have to do it for all".

This is what one would call Cognitive dissonance.

Or have you come to the conlusion that Darfur is just a cheap talking point?

The support of the argument that there were WMDs in Iraq, in light of this statement, is cognitive dissonance:

I like how you avoided much of my post. It's consistent with your twisting of the issues and responding to questions with challenges. You're quickly becoming the Fred Astaire of this forum.
No. You've already asked this of me.

If you're trying to make the point (again) that our foreign policy has no cause/effect, it's a good point to make.

But perhaps you don't understand the mindset of these extremists. American expansionist policies are the problem. We also helped out Saddam the Butcher. We also helped out the Mujahideen. We like to think we are helping out the Saudis, when we're really only helping out the Princes.

You're showing your lack of knowledge on the subject. The Tamil Tigers are known for inventing modern day suicide bombing, and have carried out the most suicide bombings in recent history.

They also ethnically cleanse Muslims. But they are rumoured to work with Al Queda. So from this, perhaps a theory could be formed that not all suicide bombers are Muslims, and another theory that terrorist groups will work together in the common cause of terrorism regardless of ethnic or religious hatred.

The 1991 ceasefire was a UN decree. The government chose to use it as a reason for the bombing and invasion. However the Secretary General of the UN has said that it was an illegal invasion under the UN Charter.

But that's irrelevant to what I posted anyways. Of course it was not about WMD. It was about focusing rage away from our complex domestic middle east entanglements and towards another enemy. Ironically, it was the same enemy who was once our friend as we supported his despotic and heinous rule. You're going to need some substantial research to show the compassion issue for the plight of Iraqis as a reason for the invasion.

We had no problem supplying them and Iran arms so they could kill one another in the 80s but you would have us believe that our intentions were totally noble and selfless.

Research the author of the book I linked to. Then either read up on the book, or spend your gold filling dental money on a copy. Then get back to me on suicide bombing.

I support all invasions that are declared acts of war by Congress. Do you?

Big government wants you to believe it can do everything. It will carry you through life, tuck you in at night and heal you when you are sick. If you work, it will provide a pension. It will keep the value of the dollar strong and the jobs in America, not overseas. It will control our borders and it will arrest terrorists when they arrive on our soil for flight training. They will make sure that you help pay for the plight of Iraqis, after creating that plight. And paying for that will not hinder the budget for domestic issues. They will promise to protect civilian contractors in war zones, and then afford them no benefits when they come back wounded or with psychological trauma.

Yeah, I trust the government to always look out for my best interest. Not the individual politicians, not big business and not the special interests.

You may have a point however because GWB did a great job of reading books to children and smuggling Saudi royalty out of the country while our nation was under attack. Now that is multi-tasking.

Are you really that naive to think that terrorists won't target america if they implement a soft foreign policy?

Guess so. They dont attack anyone else with soft foreign policies.

The reason we get attacked is because we put our noses in everyone else's business. If we mind our own business, fix our own problems, and stay neutral, we might actually go a day without a death.

    It's really a simple cycle.

We stay uninvolved. They topple the regional government they have issue with. We sanction them economically until they are bankrupt and their people are starving (on the verge of revolt). Eventually the government either changes, or becomes more moderate and joins the modern world.

The US positions of strength are wealth and trade. It's impossible for these societies to continue to live in the dark ages forever. We show them the carrot of flushing toilets, HDTV and playboy magazine and social reform will happen. I truly believe that.

The other alternative is that we support moderate governments and accelerate their westernization through trade and co-ops. It will be hard to recruit children who are more interested in playing XBox live and have 3 microwaved meals in their bellies.

And no, I am not trying to be funny.

Unfortunately, I think that the damage done is going to take a long time to undo and I'm not sure we as a people have the attention span to back a leader strong enough to truly think long term.

See this demonstrates how little you know about the situation. You don't think all Palestinians are Muslims do you?

Further more it shows how much the US believe this "war on terror" is a war on Islam. Your government are villainizing Islam like the nazi did with the jews.

No, it demonstrates who you support, defend and make excuses for. What other terrorist groups do you support?

Appears to me you're trying to find a reason to hate US troops. If that's not the case then try to think before you type. ;)

No subject change. We're still talking about your terrorist supporting views. I've not used "all" as a common denominator. Take responsibility for your own views.

AGS, you might want to come in here and help your terrorist supporting bud out. That is the kind of people you like to befriend, correct?

Or do you want the world to know a different AGS tonight?

Take responsibility for your inability to grasp a simple concept. How many times do i have to explain to you that it's thier cause i support.

Now, Do you think all palestinians are muslims? Answer it.,

I won't take responsibility for your lack of intelligence or the terrorists you raise up as heroes. You answer to me. Keep trying, you can do better.

AGS, now's your opportunity. Are you going to keep supporting this blatant terrorist supporter? He approves of murdering Jews and terrorist tactics. He surely wouldn't be a moderator on any forum I own.

What other terrorist groups do you support? It's a simple question.

You think you have a winner with that question? LMAO!

You better get your game on boy!

AGS...silient approval as usual. What a shame, another wasted opportunity to disassociate with scum like this.
