I was selling a design to a person a couple days ago but he didn't have paypal and wanted to pay me through western union. I never used western union before so I rejected him.. I was just wondering can anyone explain how western union works?

go to a western union office (search it on western union site). You fill out a form , pay them the money + a small fee. They will give you a number. You give the recipient the number and he will be able to get money in western union office around him

the fee is pretty high but anyways the person who's paying is paying the fee!

From Germany if you transterr 100 Euro you pay ca. 15 Euro fee. That depends from the country you're sending the money.

But it's good because you don't have to pay any taxes... Tac is included to the person who is sending the money.

Western Union is a quick way to get cash in hands but it could be risky if you don't know the person well (You are sending money to)..

Just like Ahkip said go to WU office, Fill out the form, pay the money and fee, you will then get MTCN (Money Transfer control number) which is for the recipient.

Fees are high but it worths it IMO,.

Western union is a mode of receiving quick payments. But this mode is expensive for the sender since he has to pay all sorts of charges.I would like to add here by saying that once the person sends you the amount via western union, you will then have to reach any nearby western union office along with your proof of address identification etc. Also you must have the code number which you must get it from the sender. Once the western union feed the neccessary details online and once it get verified, you will then receive hard cash in a jiffy.
