    Hi folks,
some of you may have already seen or heard but I'll post anyway... Looks to be a rather promising directory script. Will have to keep an eye on this. :) Directory-Owners wish the qlWeb team lots of luck!

A new directory script is soon to debut. qlWeb Directory Script

Home page is: qlWeb Directory Script

Demo is here: qlweb Directory Script - Demo Site

Features and versions located here: qlWeb Directory Script - Features

Free version download is (available 6/15/2007)

A bit about the new script:

qlWeb is an innovative directory script which has been popularized by over 7,000 directories worldwide. Its unique administrative options and tools offer simple management of content for the directory owner and one step submission process for directory users. Innovative features of qlWeb are designed to attract potential users based on new options that eliminate multiple data entry fields, allow instant approvals and capability to create distinctive subcategories right before submission. These rare functions are well balanced within administrative control of the directory owner.

For the User - submitting to a qlWeb directory can be FAST and FUN
The process of submission is reduced to a single field where the user simply enters the domain name. The script will automatically fetch the title, description and META. Another words, simply enter the link, submit - done.

Unique Options for the Administrator - Features that Users will love
In addition, the user is allowed to create new subcategory related to their domain's topic, which in return will provide unique subcategory structure for the directory. If the admin chooses to implement this option, the user may immediately submit to the subcategory that he or she just created. Prior to final submission the user has an option to revise and make changes to the link's description in order to enhance its unique content. The script also has a feature that allows accepting new links and displaying them immediately upon successful submission or leaving them pending for future review and approval. This auto approval function also offers an on or off option.

    Full Control
Functions mentioned above are strictly controlled through the administrative settings of the directory. The admin has an option to choose auto subcategory creation or auto approval features to be on or off. The script also has a powerful spam/content filter to control undesired subcategories, links, words, phrases, IP's and domain names known to be harmful to the directory content. If a moderator prefers to review submitted sites prior to their approval, auto-responder e-mail system will send out a notification of pending approval.

    Benefits
Introduction of these innovative features to your existing directory will enhance traffic and popularity. Clear benefits of qlWeb script are ease of use and unique features that the end user will appreciate.

Will download and study the script for a template. :D Sponsors needed ! :p

Question: Is this encrypted ? If it is it would take time to code it again. But will take a look at it and let you know. :)

    Very nice work there.

    Best to the script.

The script looks impressive! Might be interested in the Premium version but need to make sure that the template is easy to code before I decide on this.

Good luck with the script - nice to see new products on the market.

    Features look good.

"Fun" might be an overstatement :)

I'd have concerns about duplicate content with this. You would want each directory submission to be unique.

You'd definitely want to keep this off. People are paying for a *review* not a link.

It's a good start - keep it up!

Thanks for posting this wildweb, ive been backwards and forwards to their site recently, checking on their release date, it does look good, incorporating the current trends into the script.

Ive seen their script heavily used with the Polish directories, submitted to quite a few in the past, il definately consider the paid version of this for a future directory, worth testing, im open to new products. :)

The submit page looks promising, love the option for different types of links. I hope they come out with a template pack of some sort, that would be a big selling feature.

WildWeb, thank you for announcing our release. By tomorrow morning of
the U.S. Eastern Time most of you will be able to download the free
version of qlWeb Directory Script. Those of you who are in different
time zones might have to wait until your evening time.

We were working hard since February to implement as many new features
as possible from a view point of directory owners, and by the way the
script was entirely written by directory owners.

The free download will give you an idea of how easy, fast and simple
it is to install, set up and have a directory online literally within
30 minutes including setting up your entire admin, categories, and if
you wish advertisements that can be pasted in directly through your
admin. For those of you who are interested in promoting your other
websites or sponsors, the script will be a very unique tool for you.
Even in the free version you can paste your HTML codes directly in
admin and display ads, banners or links. If you are not interested in
displaying ads simply paste in any text, graphic code or anything you
    can imagine.

In upcoming paid versions, we will have features that in our opinion
many directory owners would need to have custom installed. In most
cases implementing all of these extras would cost triple the amount
than purchasing the qlWeb Directory Script. Just to mention few of
them: Deep Links, Meta Fetch, Banner Rotator, Auto Approve. This last
feature should be used with caution, only by experienced directory
owners and exclusively for paid submissions. We purposely did not
include this unique feature in our free version so it could not be
    abused by inexperienced users.

Originally we advertised the release of two paid version by July 25.
It looks however that we might be able to release them by the end of this
    month.

We are only days away from releasing our Deluxe and Premium versions. As a special offer we'll have a $20 off, between June 30th and August 31 of 2007.
Because were so near from a Full Featured version release, it is crazy hectic here, so we will start our promotion after the 30th of June.

The Premium version with Deep Links, Banner Rotator, Meta Fetch, 5 Languages option, Statistical Features on Home Page & Detail Pages and Paid Links on Auto Approve - will be reduced from $89 to $69.

A new player is always good.
Maybe you should think building a fully functional directory instead of a demo , that way you'll understand the users better.
good luck , I'll try it in a week.

We will have controls in place for this. And you can also set your Auto aprrovals on OFF or just use them for paid submissions.
