    Google betas work better than this....

    Safari for Windows does not display any text from a site that works perfectly on all other browsers(meaning IE, Opera and of course Firefox/Mozilla)...sigh....

    What job specifically? Web development? If that is the case, you'll find Safari runs faster, works better, and does not need constant attention to detail like MSIE.

    I would say I have the the most difficulty making things work in IE. Glad to see a decent browser for the PC.. Of course I've always used FF on the PC... Before that, Netscape.

    How would you do this Dan? Its the first time I've heard of testing this way (am new to this forum). What browsers to Trident, Presto, and KHTML/WebKit support?

    I just installed Safari but it wouldn't even open...but then I know I have limited space on my PC.

    I tried Safari for Windows hoping that it would show me how my sites looked in Safari on mac, but it wasn't even close. Hope they do better in the next version.

    Odd, I've not had a single issue.. I use Safari on my Mac and now my PC sitting next to me, and every site I have seen looks the same... I've not seen a single problem spot on the PC.. Yet, that is.. ;)

    Safari 3 very likely has an updated rendering engine. You were comparing it to Safari 2 on the mac.

    I see lots of people with problems on the Apple Forums are on older Intel CPU's and AMD. Seems to work OK on SSE3 CPU's.

    Mine is a E6600 and I don't have any problems with Safari Windows.

    It's ok. I'll repeat myself here for the sake of reference (so that others don't have to go digging through the thread):

    Trident: Internet Explorer (I test on 5, 5.5, 6 and 7)
    Gecko: Firefox, Netscape, Galeon, Epiphany, Flock, K-Meleon (I test on Firefox, Netscape and K-Meleon)
    Presto: Opera (my browser of choice for daily surfing)
    KHTML/WebKit (some call it WebCore): Konqueror, Safari, possibly OmniWeb (I'm sure it's WebKit, but I'm not 100% positive)
