I found a domain name. But i have a question at that point Lets think i found a domain name car.com but it is taken before is it a good idea to register car.info (net and others are already registered before) Is there a big difference between .info and.com ? Or is se's thinks com's are important than .info 's ?
like i said if i prefer to choose .com domain i must find a domain like mycar.com i still think car.info is better than mycar.com (i mean its better at domain name not .info)
Harsh! have you reviewed the sites to see if the .info deserved to be there. I think people frequently buy the .info just to secure the range.
If you have the choice between: car.info or mycar.com; I'd take mycar.com. But that's me. If you had a choice between car.info or my-car-website.com; I'm not sure which I'd take, I'd probably send 2-3 hours domain name hunting before settling for the .info
The extension of the domain does not influence the ranking of pages on this site if it deserves good positions on the serps. Most people are acquainted with the .com .net .org extension but if a .info speaks loud to you and you have no other option but still has the chance of getting a car.info domain then register it. p.s. I didn't check if it was available cuz i'd surely have registered it had it been
I wont register car.info it was just an example btw is anyone know a good registrar that i can register .info for cheap?I heard that some registrars offers you to use .info for free some time and u can pay it if you want to use it more or i heard .info are 2,99 dollars. is anyone have info about it??
If it's for a business website prefer a .com, if it's an informational website to get revenue from ads an .info can work very well. I think the extension counts a lot, it's the same as trying to force the use of an .org for a company. From my experience any extension is good for search engines as long as the site has good information and is well linked.
.info and .biz tell me that your site (or you) were to cheap to buy a real domain name. -IMO of course.
.com is best if there is any chance of 'type in' visitors. If you're relying on links and Search Engines for visitors then it doesn't matter what the TLD is. People tend to remember .com's easier than say .info so it depends on the type of site. If you're not expecting lots or return visitors then go with the .info
YOURSITE.COM is the best than you use any other domain like .info etc. I think if you wanted to have a website which is just to provide some info to public .info may be good. But again I suggest .com is the best.
Old thread but my thoughts...always opt for a .com above any other domain. The .info domains are good in that you can set-up many sites for peanuts very cheaply being that they can be picked-up for around a dollar only.
Yeah If you can get the .com then definitely get the .com, I'd even get the domain with a hyphen before a .info.
If you Just Want To Explore Info Like you are running a school and you just want explore info of your school Then you will chose .info domain and if you want to be like international then you can chose .com domains.
