Yet another pointless poll for the masses. Do you think relgion in rich countrys, such as america and england is dieing? I used to be relgious, but i am not now. Many teenagers are no longer believing in god. ROb
Yeah... I'm seeing this around my peers I don't know.. must be the culture in these rich countries? There isn't a lot of emphasis in religion and it's also not mixed in public schools.
Let's get real here - something like 80% of US citizens are Christian, and will blindly tolerate nearly anything that's done in the name of their God. I do believe this belongs in Politics & Religion
I expect your english teach is probably dying right now but at least you managed to get 50% of the words in the title correct.
For me religion is like a farytail And in rich countrys people are evoluating so they don't belive more in storys
We had an ofsted inspector come into my school sixth form and the inspector asked one of the students "so what do you think of the compulsory RE lessons", the student said we dont do RE. It is a legal requirement to do religious education in UK high schools until you leave compulsory education (at 16), obviously sixth form is supposed to do it as well! Anyway, I have gone to church ever since I was a very little boy and have been brought up with Christian values but Im not majorly religious in what i do on a day to day basis. Is religion dying in richer countries, well yes, but schools are forced to teach it in the UK so there is more understanding of the main religions, however i dont think people are very religious, its hard to believe something that was written which could just be made up stories and science which has been proven.
I used to not be religious but now I am.. (22 yrs old) I am currently in Mexico and they are hugely Catholic down here...
I feel there is no connection with rich and religion. If you are born in a christian family, your parents follow this religion. Now its up to you to carry on whether you are rich or poor. I hope you understood the point that I am trying to put accross.
It's the same everywhere - rich and poor countries alike. With every generation, people are becoming less religious. It may be more apparent in US and UK because they have open societies. People are free to voice the opinions. In more conservative countries, the situation is the same, but people don't express it openly.
