The design is bad, you need to work on it. And the site doesn't look good on Firefox.

I don't think a dating site works well with the orange colorscheme.. try changing it to red instead.. not a huge fan of the design either, I would get it redone completely, but atleast change the color scheme first :)

Yikes! Somebody Call The Web Design Police

    roksolana,

I've read the feedback posted about your choice of color themes. That's the least of your worries, IF end-user effectiveness, navigation and "stickiness" is at all your concern.

I've viewed your site in both browsers: Safari 3.0 Beta (MAC) and Firefox 2, same results, at least for the home page. I didn't venture from there, and I'd bet your visitors wouldn't bother either.

It is my intention to put insights into each of my posts that contribute something to DP, but also give specific advice you can put into action.

Here's why people landing on your home page would immediately
get turned off and leave with a bad taste in their mouth:

    1. Cramped. Way too much going on in a limited space. In copywriting, and when I do critiques of sales letters and the like, one thing that is constantly noted is the lack of white space. White space makes things easier to read. Things that are easier to read are more receptive to be read. Literally, change your main body paragraph, starting with, "Let dating.." into 4 short paragraphs. DO make the background white, or at least lighter for easier readability.

    2. Cramped - Part 2. Either edit the number of words for the space, or expand the size of the space - in other words, don't limit yourself to the top fold of the page.

    3. Dump the Animation. Technically, your over-lapping "welcome to our dating agency" text completely covers up your home page text, obstructing the view. If it were me, I'd dump anything "animated" until I Mastered the stuff that doesn't move.

    4. Choices. You got way too much stuff going on at once. On the home page alone, a visitor has the choice of: about 66 things to click on, expanding menus included. Some of which are not all relevant to your niche. This overlaps into number 5, but it's like putting a kid in a candy store. With so many choices, ultimately no decision is made, and the visitor you had, has already left, to not come back again.

    5. Navigation. You have no clear objective. Its painfully obvious.

    6. Terminology. Now, my educated guessing is telling me you are not English, and there may be a language barrier, but even that noted, "find girl" and "find lady" sounds sexist and like you are describing a woman like a sack of meat. A turn off, even if well intentioned.

The list could go on and on. But, I'm going to suggest to you something you may not have any interest in hearing, or that you'll dismiss without considering the option. And I say this to be direct, and constructive, not to put down or intimidate.

First. STOP! Don't add another piece of anything to this site. Don't bother linking, trying to get traffic, etc. All of it will be a complete waste of your time.

Here's why: you are violating so many fundamental, anybody in their right mind who was serious about being online would NEVER, EVER DO THAT rules, that any effort before fixing, yes, but UNDERSTANDING the WHY behind the mistakes, is pointless.

Second. Start over! A fresh slate. Know the direction you are going, the objective to be achieved and a step by step map of how to accomplish that. Seek additional advice when you have gotten to to that step. BEFORE you invest another second of time that will result in nothing, but stroking your own ego.

My life and online businesses changed dramatically, when I discovered a FLAW in what I was doing IN my business. The evidence suggests you might suffer from this flaw too:

Quit Piling MORE Stuff On Your Plate Of Too Much Stuff To Do.

I hope that better points you in the direction you may not realize you ultimately want to go.

The welcome part is a bit wordy. I suggest using bullets and perhaps making some words bold.

Your site looks funny in firefox. It seems like it's not optimized for firefox. The text is too solid black color.

Try downloading firefox, then design a page using that... I've found that it's easier to design in firefox, then modify for IE, then the other way around...

Yes allot going on in a limited space, Also the left navigation is blending with the text to the right, may be an issue with viewing in FireFox.,
I like the colors and pictures used.
