    Hello friends,

Only that way.I asked it because while I have checked it by that way,it shows a very less number of back links.

backlinks in the google sucks. This is the best thing to print on a toilet paper. In the last year i see only strange results when searching link:domain.com. I see pr0 backlinks but I can not find PR6 and PR7 backlinks from authority sites. I don't even bother to see those results anymoore. Maybe google have consideration for anonymous backlins, but I'll use Yahoo to find the most important sites that are linkg to me.

It's best checking them in Yahoo, as G only shows a very small proportion of links. In Yahoo you can check with linkdomain:www. domain.com -domain:www. domain.com

If you want to use the "link:" command you should use it in Yahoo instead of Google its much more accurate. If you want to check you links in Google you need to sign up to Googles webmaster central and verify your site to see an accurate number.

Google only shows a small portion of your real backlinks. But if you have an account in google webmaster tools you can see more links.

Yes I agree with other members on this post that Google shows only few backlinks. Use Yahoo instead to find out your backlinks. In google you can try @www.domain.com or %www.domain.com.

Because they only display quality links and they don't want other site to spy on their competitors. But if you have an account in google webmaster tools you can see more backlinks of your site.

Google's link: operator shows the NUMBER of high-quality links that point to the URL in question. The pages shown in the results are NOT likely to contain any of the pages where those high quality links reside. The link: operator used to show those high quality links, but about 18 months ago, someone over in Webmaster World's Google forum suggested to a Google employee that the command could be used by competitors to poach high quality links and they changed it soon after that to the way it works today where the pages are essentially a random sample of pages that contain links to the URL.
