No bull! With the saturation of eBay and Amazon ads in the network, dropping them can only help the smaller retailers and AdSense publishers.

I hated seeing those ads. I would google some random term like earth worms and sure enough the sponsored link was like Looking to purchase earthworms? Lol

Ebay also just purchased Stumble Upon for $75 Million.
I wounder if they have something up their sleeve, and they are going to incorporate Stumbles with Ebay ads.
    That would ruin it.

Now perhaps I won't feel really stupid when someone walks into my cubical at work and asks why I'm "Looking for dead babies?"

Their auto-match-every-thing-on-a-page technology gets annoying, especially when it combines two unrelated terms on accident.

    Farewell, eBay =).

Interesting thought, I agree that would ruin it but definitely wouldn't put it by Ebay. I for one am happy those ads are going to be gone from google.

Ebay pays around the same as what MFA sites are likely to pay. You will be lucky if you earn $0.03 on an Ebay ad I think.

eBay ads were not eBay itself placing ads. It was just people advertising their crap on on eBay. Blocked them a long time ago.....

I would have thought that by removing the $0.01 ads and replacing them with higher paying ones can only increase your earnings.
