Hey Shawn I have a question. Do I need become eligible for the google adsense if I have a total posts of 50 or should I have a total post of 50 in only 1 topic.

 

You just need 50 posts (and the time limit) so you can post in more then just this thread

Yeah its something like that. But there are many members here at DP who have never used this revenue sharing feature (you have to insert your adsense pub id in your CP to use this feature).

 

Hi everybody!

Quick question about my publisher ID. I signed up for adsense in california, and my pub ID shows as ca-pub-41***(etc), and when I enter it, it gives a weird error about it not being the right format. I've tried it with and without the "ca-" portion. Any ideas?

 

You have to add it in the format pub-41********** (remember its a 16 digit number and no spaces.)
Also I you are adding custom channel its a numeric string too.

Oh! Okay, that must have been what was getting me, my custom channel was "dp"

 

my client id is ca-pub-86*********** and when i enter this id there is an error report that says its not in right format! i have even tryed pub-86*********** and it shows the error too! help me in here!..

and how do i provide a channel for dp? where in my adsense cp i can figure out the channel id?

Leave off the "ca-" and it should work

I put my pub-id in the one box and below it i do not understand the custom channel box, can someone give me some insight on this?

 

Custom channel is for tracking the adsense income from a specific site/ad unit.
If you insert the custom channel id, you can know the adsense stats of your DP ads (impressions, clicks, cpm earning etc)

To add custom channel id, go to you adsense account and create an adsense ad unit for content. In the process of creating the ad code, it will ask you to add a channel. Give this channel some name (like DP or digital point).

Now generate the code and have a look of that.
you will find something like google_ad_channel = "xxxxxxxxxx"; where xxxxxxxxxx is a numeric string. this is the number you are looking for. add this in your DP User CP and you are done.
