Rate only my left-hand, navigation menu

I just added a sidebar to my forums, and would like some feedback. What do you think of it. Right now, it feels pretty basic (although it gets the job done), and I was hoping for some ideas on how to improve it, if necessary.

I like the design, it is simple but it fits in well and doesn't annoy users when browsing through the categories in your forum.

 

Well, its just a mod I've got for my vbulletin forums. Very easy to install, and easy to edit.

And yea, gaming is a great niche. I chose it because I am a big gamer, and, for the past 4-5 years, most of my free time is spent discussing games on other gaming forums. So, I figured, why not put that time to good use and create my own.

Anyway, thanks to the both of you for your feedback. Any suggestions on improvements would be nice too.

it looks good but you must links to all of your main forum categories from your left menu

 

Originally, I had that, but it looked WAY too cluttered. I just got the main ones there, for now.
