In Islam a married man under certain conditions, can engage in sexual activity with someone other than their marriage partner.

In Islam a unmarried person under certain conditions, can engage in sexual activity with someone without the need for marriage.

In Islam a man can possess an unlimited number of women without having the need to officially marry them.

But promiscuity per se is not the topic at hand we are discussing. This girl seems to have been in a monogamous relationship. How is that promiscuous?

I'd like to add that not everyone need have the same ideals & perceptions of self respect. Forcing females to wear black veils all day and "marrying" off people like cattle (very prevelant in islamic and even hindu cultures) isn't very congruous with "self respect".
